I stayed here with my partner for one night, as our room wasn't quite ready we were upgraded to a family room at no extra cost. The room was warm, large and clean with crisp white bedding, the bathroom was also clean. I had a comfortable sleep waking a couple of times due to being hot. My partner said he...

This was our first experience of a Wetherspoons hotel, usually opting for Premier Inns. There is an absence of main brand 'hotels' to stay in within Monmouth, so a room in a pub was the next best. They don't have their own parking which would have been perfect, but we managed to locate a public carpark which was a short...

Having had breakfast at the pub, which was ones sausage short and re-cooked, I needed to visit the toilet. Having sat down and finished the job, I reached for the toilet paper, but there was none there. I managed to find some tissue in my coat pocket, luckily, to my relief. I then checked the rota, for checking the toilet,...

We arrived at the hotel on Thursday afternoon and had a lovely meal in the adjoining pub restaurant . Our room was lovely clean and tidy with biscuits and bottles of water and tea and coffee waiting for us in our room which was over looking the old town hall and statue . It's a lovely old pub the kings...

Stayed for 2 nights, a Thursday and Friday, check in is at 2 so even though you have to pay for parking this only cost £2.00 for the Thursday. So checked in, have to say that getting to the room was a bit of an ordeal, the lift will fit 2 people with bags up 1 floor through doors, down...

I booked a room at very short notice and the night porter and barmen were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and so was the bed. Centrally placed for ease of sight seeing and shopping. Perhaps a little more training for barmaids would be helpful.

Just called in for lunch at one of our favourite Wetherspoons restaurants then realised it was a Tuesday. There was no need to look at the menu as Tuesday is steak night. As usual the restaurant was clean, and staff greeted us on arrival. I ordered the 14oz Aberdeen Angus steak rare with all the trimmings, my wife had the...

Had a decent breakfast here with a few extra's for 2 for £12 just recently. Sadly only 1 small porobello type mushroom which was disappointing. Tea & coffee was good. It was quite busy in there but service was quick & staff friendly. Pretty clean too i'd say. Clearly not an ex post office, apparently it was a hotel back...

It's very hit or miss on the rooms. We've stayed before and had a great room. This time we were back in the 1960s, the room was small, uncomfortable and the bed was a tiny trampoline. Never again! The food was passable bit nothing special, the only redeeming feature is how cheap it is, but unless you're on a tight...
