Host, Richard, takes a great deal of pride in his establishment, and his town; and it shows. Very knowledgeable and an excellent ambassador for Monmouth. Clean, quiet and comfortable room of good size and an excellent breakfast cooked by Richard himself. Central location in the heart of the town means parking may be an issue, but Richard will help with...

We enjoyed our 2 nights at the Coach House, Monmouth. The proprietor, Richard was extremely helpful, pleasant and although being in the town centre of Monmouth allows for no parking at the hotel, he met us and showed us where to park on a nearby carpark and carried our bags for us to the hotel. A very accommodating young man, Richard...

I stayed here for one night to attend a wedding and found this to be an ideal place to stay. The location was great, and very central, and the owners were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful as well. The room was large, clean, and well presented.

My husband and I stayed here last night to attend a comedy gig in Monmouth. The location is ideal centrally located in Monmouth town centre. The owners Richard and his Mum are so lovely and friendly and nothing seems too much trouble. Richard very kindly arranged to meet us to help find parking nearby which he even paid for and...

The room was pleasant, well equipped and clean and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was delightful and...

Owners, managers and teams in bigger or smaller hotels, B&B and other places to stay are always nice and kind. But sometimes it's no problem to see that their kindness isn't real but imposed. But not here, not in Wales. If you want to experience the REAL hospitality - visit and stay in The The Coach House in Monmouth. First...

We were met by Richard in Monmouth High Street, who guided us to a nearby parking bay. Richard then carried our bags to our room, and gave us a review of the property. Our room was excellent, and exceeded our expectations, bearing in mind the very reasonable nightly charge for B&B. Richard also provided good suggestions on where to eat,...

Lovely little B&B which we booked at the last minute on a trip to Pontypool. Excellent value for money, room did the job with everything we needed including a hairdryer, great shower and a very comfy bed. The breakfast was everything we wanted and yummy. Perhaps it needs to be mentioned that to access the rooms you need to go...
