Lovely place to break your journey and contemplate the countryside which is like a symphony. The peace of the place is palpable and you feel that suddenly a lot of the pressures of modern life are temporarily on hold. The vegetarian breakfast kept us going till we reached our final destination later in the day.

The most peaceful place I have ever stayed in. We had one night on route from Monmouth to Pandy via Offa's Dyke. Teona welcomed us with tea and biscuits on the lawn, provided a wonderful vegetarian cooked breakfast and packed lunch. Stay here to see how to live sustainably, peacefully and take a look at the organic farm.

We stayed here one night recently whilst walking the Offa's Dyke path . It was a great experience. The owner is a welcoming ,friendly and interesting host and the organic, vegetarian breakfast is taken in her farmhouse kitchen . The water from the spring is delicious. The house dates from the 17th century and has been restored to keep many...

This a beautiful old farmhouse set in a wonderfully tranquil area about 15 minutes walk from Offa's Dyke. The house has many interesting nooks and crannies and the room I stayed in was warm and snug with lots of exposed original roof beams. I had a lovely vegetarian breakfast cooked for me by Teona and I found my one night's...

This is a nice B&B in an old house restored by the owner. It's a peaceful area and atmosphere. We stayed for four nights near the end of March, and were the only guests for 3 of those nights, so the place didn't feel overcrowded and there wasn't a breakfast rush. Teona can also make packed lunches if you ask...

This is a very attractive rustic farmhouse in a beautiful and peaceful setting, complete with a family of peacocks. Teona is very welcoming and kind. I stayed in the single room which was small but comfortable. A great stop for those walking Offa's Dyke!

If you look for a B&B isolated in a beautiful Welsh scenery with a peacock on the chimney watching over the estate, this is your place. A warm welcome by Teona who has some wonderful rooms (we were four) with comfortable beds and an amazing bathroom. But what is so outstanding is the soul of the place. The atmosphere of...

I loved my stay here. I was in the single room (tiny but cute! In the eaves, prop not ideal for tall people). The house is a proper old farmhouse. Not your typical b&b. The stairs are both narrow and uneven, winding stone, not good for anyone unsure on their feet, especially if you are in a topfloor room as bathroom is...

We stayed at the Upper Red House in early August on our travels to the UK from Australia, and what a brilliant and relaxing time we had, even though it was for only one night (we would have preferred a couple more if time allowed). Teona is a warm and wonderful host, giving us a great welcome, loads of space...

My husband and I had booked the Upper Red House as a treat, but it was far from it. However, when we arrived, our host kindly took us into the farmhouse kitchen and made us tea which was very hospitable. But, rather than being cosy, the rooms were freezing cold and not furnished in shabby chic, but just plain shabby....

Our hi-tech new biomass boiler is in and heat and hot water flow! However, this guest came in the third week of May, so even with a working boiler, the heating would not have been on. I heat the house only when the weather is cold, which it wasn't. I gathered from the reviewer's husband that she sadly has a...
