Really good way to start a trip to Portmeirion. Excellent service, and really enjoyed a pint in front of the fire before our meal. Both meals were very good, but the main menu seemed better value than the sandwiches. The free entry to Portmeirion with a 2 course meal was an added bonus.

A beautiful room at the front of the hotel overlooking the parkland. Reception is friendly and helpful with staff to take your bags to the your room and to show you the main features. The rooms have everything you are likely to need including bathrobes, a relaxed seating area, a well hidden kitchen area, a clean, modern bathroom, a beautifully...

On arrival at Portmeirion noticed this imposing castle and an offer that if you had a couple of courses from the a la carte menu, then they would give you a voucher for entrance to the village -£10 per adult. Checkng that it wasn't £50 per person we gave it a try. Seated in the large conservatory overlookng the estuary,...

My husband surprised me with a stay in a castle, my first. I remember the exotic fragrance of the lobby each time we entered. The room was large and modern, with a mini kitchenette and tea making. There was also glassware and a decanter with sherry. Very nice touches throughout the room. That evening we had fish and chips in...

Myself and my partner stayed at the Castle for 2 nights. We arrived to pleasant, helpful reception staff, the room was lovely, clean, comfortable, I liked that it had a hidden little kitchen in the open plan room. We decided to go down stairs for afternoon tea, which was lovely, fresh and tasty, but quite a small portion of sandwiches...

Just got back from 3 days at Castell Deudraeth had a great time and had great weather for the whole 3 days. Staff were great in the main. We stayed in the penthouse which is a large room with its own private staircase and it's own ramparts. The only downside is that the ramparts block the view. However the room...

We have just returned from staying at the Castell and cannot recommend it too highly. We added our review on the hotel site but felt we had to add it also here as our stay was in the castle. We stayed in Castle room 5 which was like a chic apartment, very modern spacious with beautiful fittings, bedding and towels....

Ate there 3 nights while staying in Portmeirion Village. Great big log fire place with big comfy leather sofas for pre dinner drinks while looking at the menu. Rib eye steak for £20. Fish and chips £11.50, prices in between for pork belly, lamb rump. 2 veggie options, everything was delicious. Service impeccable, wine very reasonable priced. Deserts were divine and...

After a long old drive across the winding moor and mountain roads it was a delight to be welcomed by the roaring log fire in Castell Deudraeth. This was my first visit to Portmeirion as part of a ruby wedding anniversary treat for my parents. Mum and Dad were to stay in the castle, whilst my husband and I had...
