We acquired a dog last year and this was our first experience of staying away with him. We were a bit worried that taking a dog might mean the quality of the accommodation would be affected. We needn't have worried. This hotel is immaculate and tasteful (Laura Ashley matching soft furnishings and mugs) whilst retaining its cosiness and character. The...

Came to Anglesey looking for a retirement house. Chose the Lastra as it was close to most of the houses we wanted to look at. Despite turning up a little late, long way from Derbyshire, managed to get a burger in the bar. Great friendly staff, good service. The room was clean and totally adequate, as were the facilities. Breakfast...

Attended at friend's birthday at Lastra, about 10 of us in total. A choice of starters - mine duck with salad - absolutely beautiful, wife - carrot and coriander soup the first time she'd ever tried it - delicious, hot, thick and creamy. Mains was a set roast beef dinner with all the trimmings - an excellent offering, perfectly cooked....

Stayed here last Saturday night, had a lovely clean, warm, comfortable room. We enjoyed our dinner on Saturday night in a busy friendly restaurant. All the staff we met were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast on Sunday morning was fab. Would definitely stay here again.

Me, my partner and our oaf of a dog Bertie stayed at the Lastra at Christmas time. The menu was delicious. The soup was one of the best I've ever tried. The staff bought Bertie some Turkey to have in his bowl which I thought was really kind. He didn't even have to be on his lead. The other customers...

Very welcoming and warm hotel. Food and staff (felt like friends when we left) were excellent - great steak. Our dog was made very welcome bowl, bags, treats and sausages for breakfast. A great new year night - will be back

THE best Sunday lunch that we've had for a long, long time. 5 of us had the Christmas dinner and it was perfect. Credit to all the staff and management for looking after us so good. This place is worth a visit, you won't be going home hungry or dissapointed. One of the best on Anglesey if not the Best.

What a wonderful hotel! A warm friendly welcome from Sue and cosy gate house rooms for us and our beloved old pooch. The evening meal was excellent and served by very attentive and caring staff. Breakfast was also great inclusive value, Sue even provided our dog with 2 sausages, which he much appreciated! Can't wait to visit again.

Wow ! We visited again this weekend to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. The staff are out of this world and cannot do enough to please. It is a fantastic hotel which is dog friendly perfect for us with our pooch. Elaine and Adrian are so welcoming and the hospitality cannot be beaten by anywhere else we have stayed. We...

Booked an evening meal as a birthday treat for one of the party. Had an excellent meal enjoyed by all, food could not be faulted. Staff were pleasant and friendly. This is a hidden gem that is well worth searching out. I had mentioned that this was a birthday treat when booking and although I had not requested special treatment...
