We checked into the Bulkeley and were given as requested a double room overlooking the Menai Straits looking south into Snowdonia. After a long drive down from South Cumbria the sun was just beginning to set on the mountains. A lovely sight. The Bulkeley is a lovely old building dating from the early part of the 19th century and retains...

We had a lovely two night stay for our 'babymoon', which also turned into a celebration of our engagement when my partner proposed on the second day!!! From being upgraded to a luxury room to the bottle of wine brought to our table in the restaurant to congratulate us, the service was second to none. We will definitely be returning...

We popped in for tea and cake at the hotel, the main reason being that it is dog friendly. The lounge was very warm and welcoming with an eclectic mix of furniture. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They have a really good selection of different teas and sweet treats, cakes and cookies. Well worth a visit for a...

Arrived at The Bulkeley Hotel on a beautifully sunny day. Our plan was simply somewhere to sleep and have breakfast in preparation for the Motorbike racing the following day. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff on arrival were very friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and comfy, nice big bathroom too. There was plenty of coffee, tea and milk which...

My partner and I go to Beaumaris regularly, and usually stay in a holiday cottage. So for a change, we decided to stay at the bulkeley hotel. The hotel has a certain charm to it. Yes, some of the decor is a bit tired, but the hotel is in a great location and the staff are very friendly and helpful....

We knew what to expect regarding the "Shabby chic" faded grandeuer style of the hotel to us that was part of the appeal. What we did not account for was....Being allocated a completely different room to the one we had requested on booking (Also paying in full at the time of booking!) Then being told on arrival when we had...

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 night break at The Bulkeley Hotel, the hotel is very majestic and was built in the mid 1800's to accommodate Princess Victoria on a visit to Anglesey prior to her ascension to the throne. The hotel car park was a little tight for space for such a large hotel although prior...
