I took my sister here as a birthday treat . I paid an extra 50 for a sea view which I would not do again . You did not get a sea view from the bedroom unless you stood up at the window . No where to sit and enjoy the view you paid an extra 50 to get .The room was very small and poorly appointed . For example no chair to sit and have a coffee . There was a dressing table chair but only one and certainly no room for another . There was a small travel chest that was the only wardrobe space any more than 2 nights and there would have been nowhere to put your belongings . Now for the upside the shower room was marvellous I mean really marvellous the circular shower was enormous and the water piping hot . The public rooms were to die for and the food was exquisite if a little pricey . The restaurant staff were extremely helpful and friendly . The young man who waited on breakfast brightened our day so good at his job and with a lovely manner . Reception was a bit lukewarm and on arrival we felt a little let down but things improved from there . Overall the bedroom was far too small for a twin . Reception not great but the rest was superb . I would visit again if I could get a larger room . A lite bite menu would be a great addition too

Lovely hotel with amazing views. over the Menai Straits and across to the Welsh Mountains. We stayed in the” Beaumaris” room which had a wonderful view and had the benefit of a huge shower room in the Turret. The double bed was very comfortable and made for a good nights sleep. The plated Breakfast, (no cereal, fruit, yoghurt or pastries were offered) on the first morning was good but not so much on the 2nd morning. We chose not to eat in the hotel as found the menu to be repetitive and somewhat overpriced. Bar Meals or Snacks were not available. We found bar closed, the lights turned off and door shut at 8pm whilst dinner was being served due to a shortage of staff. Overall a good stay but not great.

Public rooms are magnificent and the staff very helpful. Bedroom was comfortable but had some quirks. In the bathroom, the razor point was above the loo, a long way from the sink and shaving mirror. The shower was great. I think on the catering front, they really could do better. Breakfast was really average, for example the sausages were really lacking and tasted if they came from a catering pack. The toast was flabby and not crisp, and there were no croissants or similar, nor were we offered yoghurt or fresh fruit. I feel for the standard of the room, and food, the Château is expensive.

What a beautiful location for a wedding with stunning views over the Welsh mountains and Menai Straits. The staff were excellent , helpful , hardworking and courteous. We were made to feel very welcome . The bedroom was well decorated with period features. We had a massive shower located in the turret which was quirky. The bed had crisp white linen and was very comfortable. The food was good for mass catering, the canapés disappeared very quickly. The main meal was hot and tasty and served efficiently. The tables looked beautiful again with clean ,crisp white linen. The hall was heated by a huge log fire and added to the romantic atmosphere. Breakfast was served in a room overlooking the Straits. Vegetarian breakfast was very good and again the staff were excellent providing us with all that we requested. I highly recommend this hotel for a wedding venue or relaxing stay and we certainly are keen to return.

We arrived to a very warm welcome including a roaring log fire at reception just as the weather was turning colder. The communal rooms and ceilings are just perfect. They are relaxing with outstanding views over the Menai strait and tastefully and appropriately decorated. Our room or rooms was outstanding. Glorious king sized bed, separate dressing area and luxurious bathroom with twin sinks. Providing l'occitane shower products great too. The staff throughout our stay have been warm, professional and helpful. Our first night dinner was beef fillet which cut like butter and was very tasty. Breakfast on both days was full of choice and beautifully cooked. I did think dinner overpriced but this is the only slightly negative comment. We love France and Wales and our stay was a great combination of both. Loved exploring Anglesey and we had a lot of sunshine. Our stay was a Travelzoo deal and was fantastic value for money.
