We really enjoyed our three night stay in this old cottage, nestled in the quiet and scenic wooded hills near Ruthin. Our double room was very comfortable with everything we needed. It was tastefully decorated, very clean and good range of toiletries and tea tray were replenished when necessary. Marilyn and David were friendly and welcoming hosts, making us readily...

We had a lovely stay with Marilyn and David over the weekend. Travelling with two small children is never easy, but they welcomed our little family and were wonderful hosts. The service was 5star with my 5year old is still talking about the wonderful breakfast (as are we!) that was lovingly put together with either homemade or locally sourced produce....

What a wonderful review! It's really pleasing when guests appreciate the area and what we try to do here. It was a real pleasure having you and your children stay with us. Any time you need a place to stay in north Wales we'd be delighted to see you again.

We visited when competing in a mountain biking race nearby. Our hosts were very helpful in directing us to where we could find food after our late arrival and making sure we knew where we were going in the dark. We were able to store our bikes safely overnight and they were so kind as to let us have an...

Thank you for such a lovely review. As you say, we're not specifically set up for cyclists but we are "Biker Friendly" and like to help out where we can. Sorry about the TV noise from the other room. Unfortunately, the couple in the other room did have the TV turned up more than is usual. As for spending longer...

We stayed one night only, but we wished we stayed longer, surrounded by nature, the house is beautiful, the bed room very cosy and comfy.Delicious Breakfast with homemade bread and marmelade, Dave and Marilyn were charming, and so was the cat Molly. We would gladly return there.

The hosts are excellent and very welcoming. Stayed just one night but will definitely go back some time soon. Was very interested in their bee keeping. The house was very quaint with beautiful views of the garden and countryside.

Stayed for three nights at lovely Plas Efenechtyd. Situated in a peaceful location surrounded by rolling countryside, it really is perfect for a 'get away from it all' break. The tiny hamlet of Efenechtyd is worth a look with its pretty 13th century church and Ruthin is a nice town to visit and has lots of places to eat. Snowdonia...

Lovely cottage set down quiet lanes with very nice views. Set off the beaten track but only two miles from the centre of ruthin. Lovely walks around the lanes from the cottage. The breakfast is very good and as one of us is coellic the owners had a gone out of their way to make sure those needs were catered...

Just stayed two nights to attend a wedding at the nearby Pentre Mawr Country House. A lovely B&B in an old farmhouse. Ensuite double room was spotless and very comfy. Superb breakfast as listed on website. All high quality and generous portions, some of which was home made (the preserves, granola and freshly baked bread were super). David and Marilyn...
