Overall a very pleasant stay. Food was absolutely lovely and staff very accommodating, nothing too much trouble. We were a bit disappointed with room(117), not a great view, skip and rubbish take away from natural beauty of the area. Spa is a let down, only steam room and sauna and relaxing room, somehow expected a bit more from a spa.Hot tubs under...

Just spent the night at Ruthin Castle and it was a brilliant experience. The room, although small was lovely - bed huge an fantastic views. A slight disappointment of opening a cupboard to find a couple of mucky cups(!) but certainly forgive the hotel this on the overall experience. Dinner was fantastic and staff were lovely. Adding the recommend wines...

We took a trip out to Ruthin Castle for a spot of lunch. We went straight to the Library Bar which is a beautiful relaxing setting. If it wasn't for the lovely decor and chairs to sit back and relax, I would have struggled to give this review more than 2 stars. There were just some annoyances that revolved around...

It is a lovely setting, but trade that in for a warren of not very nice rooms. Twin beds, if you want to sleep together, you have to push them together. I didn't expect luxury but, no glasses, just two chipped coffee mugs. Felt like I was going to fall off the slanted twin bed all night. Room needed dusting....

Dear OfcMgrCalifornia Thank you providing feedback following a recent stay. Rooms are twinned in advance based on the information that we are provided with. Unfortunately, we were not aware that you were unhappy with the twin bedded room, this could have been rectified immediately. I am confused by your comments regarding breakfast as only fried eggs are present on the...

We have just come from a short break at Ruthin Castle for our Wedding Anniversary. The hotel is full of history and only a 2 minute walk into the historic town of Ruthin. We stayed in Prince of Wales suite, which is not cheap but worth the money we paid for our special occasion. We had the 3 course for...

I treated my partner to a virgin experience voucher and I'm so happy I did. Absolutely amazing and beautiful place. Every member of staff we faced were friendly and approachable and would go out of their way to assist if needed. We stayed in the myddleton suite and wow, it was luxury. Yes there are a few marks on the...

Lovely environment and staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Room was very clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and had lovely view over the mature planting. All staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the spa treatments were lovely. The fact that his was our 5th...

when we arrived early, we asked if we could leave the car in the car park. the reception person said yes, they did not tell us about the bar and meals they also did not check to see if the room was ready for us. We would have stayed in the bar and not gone to the village. The room...
