I can confirm it is closed and deteriorating fast, covered in Ivy, peeling paint and looking very sad. A great pity for Tywyn. Compare the view on Google maps and you will be shocked at what you see. Really needs a buyer as it would be a major attraction for Tywyn.

Nice and simple... It's closed and has been last 20years! Windows are either boarded up or dirty and broken. The actual owners have refused to sell to prospective buyers year after year. Waste of a good building which now would need knocking down or stripping right back to its sell.

This is a good place to stay if you want to visit Shrewsbury, but you will need a car. Rooms are clean and a lovely deck outside to sit and have a brew overlooking the Severn River. Pricy meals in the restaurant and the staff were not keen on giving out directions . Please note there is Neolithic Chalk Horse...

I recently visited this hotel for business reasons and was shown around it. It has been closed for nearly two years. Despite needing a lick of exterior paint and being rather overgrown I was pleasantly surprised by the good condition of the interior, which is a bit like the Marie Celeste, as if it had been in day to day...

Has now been closed for nearly 2 years. After being abandoned overnight initially, it must have had food and drink left there for getting on 2 years, with slates off roof and collapsed ceilings it must be full of all sorts of vermin by now. Its a disgrace to Tywyn and something needs doing about it.

Now shut up and closed so not able to comment further on any aspect of the interior. What else can one say? Just hope that some one or some group with inspiration, commitment and deep pockets can bring it back to life

From the moment you walk in you want to walk out! It it has shocking smell, the decour is dated (but not in a good way) and you cant even concider playing on the pool table!!! I would rather drink a can of carling than get pint from the pump in this place!

Never struck me as correct vocation for the hosts. Premises smell damp, bar mats always dripping and stinking of stale beer (like vinegar). Dirty, nose picking on bar duty despite being told about it. Just not really interested in running the establishment as a viable business at all. Always short of stock, with the excuse 'it will be in tomorrow', or...

My colleagues and I make a point of returning to the Corbett every year because (a) accommodation is always available at short notice (b) the rooms are large, clean and comfortable and (c) over the many years we have stayed there we have come to relish the anticipation of discovering whether the Corbett Arms can survive yet another year of...

We visit this part of the world every year and love popping into the Corbett for a pint. It just gets weirder and weirder. Get yourself a good spot at the bar and enjoy the banter with the owner (? I assume he is) and his son. Stick to the ale as I don't think there's much else. To be...
