We are really impressed with the friendliness of the staff. We had a great stay here. The rooms are beautiful. Very large & well equipped. Could do with shampoo & conditioner in room instead of just shower/hair wash.

We had a really enjoyable and relaxing two night stay. The four of us felt we were so well looked after by the staff. Comfortable, clean rooms. Food was wonderful. Staff couldn’t have done more. They excelled.

Excellent welcome and great service throughout our stay. Locals are friendly and pleased with additional business from visitors in a relatively quiet village area. Surrounding area is of outstanding natural beauty so The Knighton Hotel works as a great base for local travel and touring.

I'm 68 and just finished walking most of Offa's Dyke a few weeks ago. It's kind of defined by nasty ups and downs. You might want to consider the portions that run alongside the canals. Also outside of Langollen there is a portion of the walk that is high up but accessible via taxi.
