Guests house attached to a pub of the same name. Rooms were large with en-suite, stone walls and wood beams and high ceilings; very comfortable. Pub had good food and breakfast served in the pub dinning room was very good. Wifi only in pub. Knighton is a very pleasant town and this was a good base.

Stayed here after walking the southern half of Offa's Dyke path. All updated room. Comfortable pub and the breakfast was nicely cooked. Quiet on a small side street. It is in city center and not far from the Offa's Dyke Center.

This was our third overnight stay here and each time has been good. We have stayed in three different rooms and all were pleasant but this time was probably the largest. Clean, of course, but also characterful. The host was warm and friendly without intrusion (too busy apart from anything else) and staff were all helpful and friendly. Both dinner...

The accommodation is at the back of the pub. Our room was small though nicely decorated. The bathroom had a shower but the bathroom was so small it was necessary to dry off in the main room! The heating wasn't on as the hostess told us 'people open windows!' But there was an electric heater available in the room. No...

We had a smartly decorated room in the old stables, with a small ensuite shower room. Everything was clean, the room was quiet and the landlady (and her sweet little long-haired dachsund!) was welcoming. We had our evening meal at the pub and the food was fine. It was disconcerting that the wine came out of a handpump but my...

My friend and I stayed during our walk along Offa's Dyke and would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting Knighton for a few days. Very pleasant twin room with a clean, if slightly small, bathroom. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The price was reasonable and the food and beer were both very enjoyable.

The G&D is a popular local pub and restaurant with rooms at the rear of the pub in the converted stables. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the facilities that you need. The food is very enjoyable and is served in a smart and clean restaurant, they also have a good choice of real ales in the bar....

After a long and arduous 15 mile walk on a hot day we arrived to find a damp, dingy and dusty twin room with no hot water in the bathroom for a much needed shower. My friend firstly complained to the landlord who discovered that a power cut earlier in the day meant that the timer had not been reset....

The George is situated on the main Street through Knighton, in a good location for shops. There is a Spar and Costcutter opposite the pub. Also a larger supermarket (Coop) with a post office, a five minute walk. When we arrived we got a very luke warm reception from a male member of staff. No greeting or small talk. Our...
