Stayed two nights as part of a deal found online that included breakfast and dinner. Room was great with a view of the lake. Hotel amenities are good and you right on the lake so no need to take the car to go exploring. Breakfast & dinner are both very good and I recommended staying here are it is a...

We only had lunch in this wonderfully situated hotel drawing room,it is full of character and although it is in need of refurbishing,it has a feeling of the twenties about it. Lunch was very good and not to expensive ,but it is the views of the Lake you are paying for.breathtaking. The waiters were very attentive and we will be...

Not having been to Wales before this was my first foray across the border, yet based on this trip it will not be my last. The setting for this hotel is outstanding and a lake view room is s must, the light, the scenery, the colours of the surrounding area change every time you look and anyone with a soul...

An undeniably beautiful location but it feels like the hotel is resting on its laurels and not up to the standard it should be. For some reason we were put in a disable access room, which was not a big deal, but the bed we had had its slats was broken in half and was a terrible sleep. When I...

We have visited lake vyrnwy before, around 10 years ago, and had an amazing time. This time round my husband booked this as a birthday present. I was a little apprehensive that things might have changed having seen several negative trip advisor reviews. However that was most definately not the case. We had an excellent weekend. The hotel is lovely,...

We spent three nights here for my wife's 50th birthday in early March. Within an hour of arriving on Sunday afternoon it started snowing which added to the already romantic atmosphere. Our room was an excellent size with four poster bed and beautiful views across Lake Vyrnwy and beyond towards Snowdonia. The setting is simply stunning and peaceful with some...

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend away at this beautiful hotel. He booked a lake view room which was large and comfy and the view was incredible. The first evening we ate in the restaurant which offered a good variety of food and was cooked to a very high standard. The second night we ate in the bar which...

My wife and I stayed here for one night on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. We arrived early so the room was not ready, but the reception staff looked after our bags while we went for a walk across the dam to the village and back through the sculpture park. When we returned late afternoon the room was ready....

This was a surprise treat booked for us by some friends so we arrived in good spirits on a windy, wild and wet Mid Wales Sunday lunchtime. Service as ever was attentive but unobtrusive. With G&T's all round (served with proper Fevertree tonic) our drinks were carried to our table overlooking the lake. On such a day there isn't much...
