We can't fault any of the staff, or how clean our room was...it's just that this hotel is dated, does not look welcoming at all and needs brightening up. The breakfast was very good but inside and out it is shabby. Time for someone to come in and do a complete makeover.

I had a large booking for 17 and the team there dealt with it professionally from the start, regularly putting up with me bombarding them with silly questions for about two months. Also handling me chopping and changing things at short notice. Deniyal in particular was very helpful. The rooms were very quirky, it was quite an experience. Dinner was...

We often go to the Radnor, more than once a week. Usually for drinks in the well kept beer garden which is a sun trap, and in the winter to sit in the oak panelled bar next to the open fire. The beer and particularly the ales are very well kept at a reasonable price. The staff are kind and...

This hotel was a 2m walk from the Offa's Dyke path (turn off at Dolley Green), but oh my, worth every single step to get to it! The place is stunning from the outside and equally stunning on the inside. The staff were all welcoming and courteous. The menu was nice but I didn't fancy what was on it that...

My wife, my baby daughter and I recently stayed at the Radnorshire Arms. We visited for a long weekend and were very impressed with the warm and friendly welcome. This superb friendly manner lasted throughout the stay, with staff being helpful, kind, friendly and flexible. This made our visit enjoyable and stress free as possible with a 7 month old....

Easy to find and ample parking. Check in was easy. We stayed on the top floor with a view over the back garden/ entrance. Dated but comfortable room with a double and single bed. The bathroom had been refurbished with a jacuzzi bath- very relaxing! Although it took forever to fill! No night porter so you have to let yourself...

A colleague booked for a party of 12 of us to have lunch here and subsequently discovered that they'd had a really bad review in a local publication. Well, she thought, they'll take it on board and pull their socks up. Had they? Well, I hate to think what it was like before the review if they had. I ordered...

We stayed here as part of our Offa's Dyke (Southern Section) walk. Even allowing for the age of the establishment, the hotel is badly in need of some attention. The gardens are overgrown and our room, one of the "cabins" at the back of the hotel, was gloomy, although the bathroom had been updated. At £130 for the night this...

First impressions a bit doubtful, the building is very historic and public rooms, stairs and rooms are a bit old-fashioned and a little worn, some refurbishment is over-due I think. Service is very willing but probably struggling due to over-stretch from lack of staff. I feared the worst from the restaurant but was agreeably surprised that the food was quite...
