A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants
as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.

Hi there! The information you heard is correct - our dedication to conservation and preservation of the history of both buildings and site means that a lot of our rooms have external private bathrooms. This means you have your own bathroom, its just about 3 steps outside your door across the balcony.
All rooms titled "deluxe" have their own internal ensuite bathroom. Our cottages also have a bathroom inside the house. Other than that (heritage, etc) the other rooms have external private bathrooms. Hope this helps! :)
Ensure you check with hotel before booking. Do you want a sea view? Again check but beware, 'a sea view' or a room 'facing the sea'. A number of rooms face the sea, however the view is restricted by trees. Hope this helps

Q Station is a great place to celebrate an anniversary. It is a beautiful retreat on the coastal outskirts of Sydney. We have a ferry called the EcoHopper that arrives and departs multiple times per day from our very own Quarantine Wharf. Unfortunately, it does only run in the day time so if you wish to leave the site after 4:30pm via public transport, you'll need to catch the 135 bus to Manly Wharf and then catch the Opal ferry into the CBD, or otherwise ride a bus/taxi/uber around the Northern Beaches.
We do have a restaurant on site called the Boilerhouse Restaurant & Bar, open every night from 6pm.
If you have your own car, it can be parked for free in our visitors carpark next to reception, and it's only a 30 - 40min drive to the Sydney CBD (depending on traffic).
