We stayed here for 4 days with the family and loved it, the place was central to Manly and a short walk to the beach also to public transport. The whole place was clean and tidy and the owners who live in the back of the house were lovely people.

What a gorgeous little place to stay. Hosts Maria and Ted were very friendly and looked after our needs. Bed was very comfortable and warm!! Lovely furnishings and design. Great little sitting room with Foxtel. Tea & Coffee and fridge. We arrived at 9.15pm and that wasn't an issue. Parking permits were a bonus as we didn't need the car...

The owners are very welcoming and the accommodation is spacious and comfortable as well as being very clean. This really is good value for money. There were just 2 of us and we had the place to ourselves - comfortable sitting room, big bedroom and its great to have an additional separate loo as well as a big bathroom. The...

Fabulous position. Straight down some steps and we were on the beach. Although we were here on business we were able to fit in some great restaurants and an hour or so on the beach. Windermere was close enough to everything so we just left the car and walked. The accommodation is spacious and clean. It's federation style and beautifully...

Stayed for a long weekend with extended family. Windemere is superbly located and would make a great base for a longer Sydney wide holiday, being an easy walk from the Manly Ferry which gives you a great 30 min. cruise across the harbour to the CBD. Manly beach is at the end of the street and provides a throng of...

Accommodations were pretty good. There aren't a whole lot of choices for a larger party in Manly. Only issue I had was that some of the cups and plates in the back of the cupboards had hair and dirt. When I complained, the proprietor didn't seem apologetic at all. Also, it wasn't that convenient to have to pay everything via...

This bed and breakfast is in an amazing position - basically a 1 min walk to the beach and around a 5 min walk to Shelley. Maria was incredibly accommodating especially considering we had such a late arrival. I have found that it is near impossible to find nice accommodation in Manly that doesn't cost the earth - I can...

We stayed here for 6 nights in total (2 adults 2 children). We had a fabulous time and this place really made our stay enjoyable. We were in the best place to be able to easily get to Manly, and with two children it made things so much easier. I loved how much space we had here and how comfortable...

My husband, our daughter, her friend from Melbourne and I stayed for a Friday and Saturday night in July, for our daughter's 21st birthday celebration. The location is brilliant, a lovely short walk to the beach and Manly. Maria and Ted are great hosts, had some lovely chats, and even offered a platter from their kitchen for the birthday cake!...

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
