The house suited our family gathering as far as size went, as we had 12 people in total. The biggest gripe with this house was the dirtyness, it was quite filthy, and the carpet is terrribly stained. On the plus side, the grounds are stunning and it was very private, quiet and relaxing. Also despite the signage and advertising stating...

Quite a good house but very badly heated. It would be OK in warm weather but don't think about going in the middle of winter. We were told not to use the dimmers in the rooms as it would trip the circuits, why don't the owners just remove them.

This is no longer run as a B&B but as a self catering 5 bedroom, 5 ensuite house. It is actually a 3 bedroom house with two separate bedrooms found (literally - we had to wander about the out buildings trying keys in locks until we discovered them) in out buildings. Not ideal for single guests as the rooms are...

My wife and I found this B&B online. It is situated just outside historic Beechworth township. The website made claims that attracted us: "sweeping views east ... magnificent 120 year old gardens ... a large pond with abundant native bird life, an extensive rose garden, and shady sitting areas. It is a garden for all seasons." Upon arrival, we felt...

The For Sale sign out front was probably an omen. Our experience pretty much matched the others on here (why on this visit I forgot to check Tripadvisor reviews before I booked I don't know). The room was a decent size, with a good bathroom and spa, and comfortably appointed, although yes a chair that wasn't a dining chair would...

We stayed here this weekend and were pleased with it. We'd read awful reports on it on tripadvisor but it was the only accommodation available as beechworth was busy due to Oktoberfest. We were pleasantly pleased with what we got. The bed was so comfy, the electric blankets were a god send! The coffee facilities were great and the brekkie...

Three days in historic Beechworth ... where to stay? Beechworth House looked perfact. In lots of ways, it was. About 5 minutes drive from the centre of town (I was careful how much I drank at dinner the first night!). Lovely cottage behind the main house. Walk from the car to the cottage seems fine ... until you try to...

King Spa Room - Dust, cobwebs and pubic hairs in the spa bath, all topped off with a fire alarm going off in our room at midnight for no reason. Not a word of apology from the owner, just an off the cuff comment that ' it happens sometimes'. A total waste of $200 plus for a room with a...

The facilities at this property are excellent but it could hardly be called a Bed & Breakfast. We were attracted to the property because of the supposed excellent breakfast and the hot toast which apparently was to die for. The in-room breakfast consisted of a couple of Sanitarium cereal boxes and stewed long-life fruit. The hot toast never eventuated until...

This is a clean and comfortable bed and breakfast, but if you want to be close to the historic buildings on the main street, this is further than walking distance from the main sights. Also, the B&B is at the back of the owner's home.
