I had never been to Beechworth but had heard it was beautiful. I booked this hotel because it was cheapish and we were just staying on our way through to Melbourne. I wasn't expecting much so needless to say I was surprised thay I was so blown away!!!! The building is beautiful with it's history well preserved. The gardens at...

The Old Priory is a lovely place to stay in Beechworth. It is spacious, in a lovely location and with a rich and warm character. Many happy memories have been made here. The owners are lovely and very welcoming.

I stayed at the Old Priory for three nights and had a great time. I think the best thing about it, aside from staying in a lovely old building with lots of character, was that my bed was super comfortable and I slept very well! The staff were also really lovely and helpful, and I was touched they were concerned...

The self contained unit was a surprise..it felt like Harry Potter..under the stairs. Goodness there were lots of stairs and this should be really considered by anyone who has a mobility issue. It was basic - but on a cold night in Beechworth we were warm and dry. The beds were comfortable and warm. The outdoor area was pretty and...

Stepped out of the car and went WOW are we really staying here???? This was a girl's weekend away. Walking down the path bought a smile to my face, the gardens, the originality of the Priory, the massive front door. Stepping through to the wide ornate hallway with the stain glass, old period furniture and a glimpse of the old staircase...

The Old Priory is a step back in time with it old world charm. The huge doors and ceilings, wooden creaky floors, and old furnishings make this an experience and not just a stay. It is reasonably priced as it has shared bathroom facilities but that is worth the experience, and anything less would not be the same. Its like...

We were there on a land selection from 1876 just out of Beechworth for a birthday party and anniversary celebrations and stayed in one of the self-contained miner’s cottages of the Old Priory overnight - perfect! A rustic setting with adequate facilities, clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. A rather unique shower! As the morning was sunny we were able...

We were cycling the Murray to Mountains rail trail and stayed overnight - perfect! not overly luxurious, more of an old-style guest house feel and all the better for it. Gardens and setting were just terrific - enjoy a bottle of wine on the balcony upstairs! Clean, comfortable, reasonably-priced, and low-fuss.

We stayed here with a group in the Dormitory accommodation which was clean and comfortable. The building is full of character and the staff we did deal with were helpful and relaxed. A great place to stay with a big group.

The room was cold when we arrived, the shower isn't big enough for 2, we ran out of kindling when our fire went out and we smoked ourselves out from the fire but we loved this place! We stayed here in late June of 2014 so it was quite cold, but the atmosphere of the room once we got the...
