Stayed for 2 nights at this glorious spot - room large and with generous verandah and seating, comfy bed, and drop dead gorgeous view of Mount Abrupt. Breakfast is included with buffet and hot dishes - great. Tried the french toast - delicious; one day there was sheep milk yoghurt - great. Peaceful, beautiful, lovely walking tracks nearby. Treat yourself...

Forget picking up one of those adult colouring in books sitting on top of the best sellers list lately. Take a nice slow drive out to Dunkheld and treat all your senses at this wonderful foodie getaway. We stayed a night in between travelling from Adelaide to Melbourne and I instantly felt mindful. We enjoyed the striking views of Mt...

This was a bucket list item for my husband. A stay and meal at the Hotel with the wine list voted world's best. Over 2,000 wines to choose from a cellar of over 26,000 bottles in a town at the foot of the Grampians. The food is seasonal and 70 per cent is sourced from their own garden or the...

We spent way more than we normally would staying here, so we were hoping to be blown away by the experience. Sadly, this wasn't the case... * We were expected to sleep on two single beds pushed together i.e. a hard metal spine down the centre of the bed. Not good. * Limited dining options - either be prepared to...

Rooms were spacious and modern, however let down fully by terrible service. Arrived just before 9pm and despite a thriving kitchen were advised we could only purchase a bag of potato crisps. Instead we ordered a coffee, which was weak, insipid and lukewarm. Next morning we ordered breakfast and this is where we were simply astounded. Burnt toast - yes,...

Eight years ago my husband and I visited Dunkeld as part of a family holiday in the Grampians. We dreamt of dining and staying at the Royal Mail. Now our children are older we finally made it as part of a week long road trip. Dunkeld was our final stop before returning to Melbourne and it was well worth the...

This Hotel is a top class facility. Rooms are beautifully outfitted, quiet and with lovely views of the Grampians. The Hotel has a MAGNIFICENT fine dining restaurant, a bistro, and is centrally located in Dunkeld, Also very close to the Grampians.

My partner and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend stay at the Royal Mail last August. The room was spacious enough, with a stunning view of Mt Sturgeon. Breakfast was also included in the price of stay. As it was a getaway to celebrate our fourth year anniversary, we splurged on an 8 course degustation dinner (with paired...

A visit here is wonderful. The accommodation is clean and confortable and if you have a room towards the back the views are amazing from your balcony. The restaurant is perfect from service to food and wine. If you're there a few nights the bar food is also great and more relaxed and a good price point. There are loads...

We have stayed at the Royal Mail Hotel a number of times over the years. The standard of accommodation is faultless. Rooms are quiet, luxurious, with modern design flourishes like sumptuous walk-in showers, high-quality finishes, incredibly comfortable beds, and views from your private balcony of nearby Mt Sturgeon. The two-hatted restaurant is a bucket-list experience, with a revolutionary menu, and...
