Nelse Lodge hosted by Graeme and Roz is arguably the best hosted lodge in Australia, from its easy ski in/ out location, the elegant bedrooms (Smallish), fabulous lounge/bar/dining room, first class menu, easy and well presented drying and ski rooms, all combined with an ability to mix and mingle with other guests made for an excellent holiday. i could go... We stayed a week in August 2015 and have just returned from another wonderful week. Graeme and Ros know how to look after those seeking a ski lodge environment. Margie, Georgie and Priscilla also looked after us so well. Very friendly lodge with the ability to ski in and ski out. Great dining, both at breakfast and dinner. Met some... More

We have been eating here for years and every year is even better than the last. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere is so inviting. You can either relax by the fire with a drink of your choice, or sit at the bar for a friendly chat. Then once you start to get hungry there is a fabulous choice of food... More

My 3 girlfriends and I stayed here last winter. We loved it. Our room was small, but very comfortable. Food was delicious and the bar service fab! Sat by the open fire at apres... heaven. Ros and Graeme could not have made us feel more welcome. A home away from home, but better!!!

The food was really good and the service was very friendly. They coped well with our large group including kids that had already had a big day of ski school. We have been to Nelse in previous seasons and we were not disappointed. We are now lodge members up the road so we don't stay at Nelse Lodge anymore but... More

My wife and I had dinner at Nelse lodge and we both said that you will go a long way to find a better meal. We shared pork for the entree and it was beautiful, but the steak for the main was some of the best Steak I've had. Served with rosemary potato, bok choy and jus (red wine gravy... More

What a fabulous week. Graeme and Ros were tremendous hosts and Margie, Emily and Georgie all looked after us so well. A wonderful, friendly lodge environment. Ski in and ski out. Great dining, both at breakfast and dinner. Met some terrific fellow guests around the open fireplace, at the bar and in the spa/swimming pool. Can't wait to return.

Stayed at Nelse with some friends this August, and we were not disappointed! The staff are friendly, the meals are great. The dining/lounge area has a great atmosphere, and a reasonably priced, well stocked bar. Our room was cosy, but quite pleasant. This was despite the shower having very poor water pressure. The pool area was also fantastic! The spa... More

We didn't stay at Nelse but dined in the restaurant there. This year the quality of the food and service is better than ever. Fabulous food from a chef who really knows his game in a cosy, warm environment and very professional staff. Risotto, paté, salmon, steak and the salads were all refined and of an excellent standard. The rhubarb... More
