We visited this hotel for drinks and were amazed at the wonderful views over the sea. Staff were very friendly and we all enjoyed ourselves including our Springer Spaniel. There was a very good menu on offer but we didn't have anything to eat today.

This is a seriously big hotel. We were amazed. The staff were all friendly. We sat and had amazing views. We ordered meals and they came in less than 5 mins which was slightly disconcerting. But the calamari was nice, the ages sirloin was ok. It comes medium but was more like rare with a chargrilled outside. Would like to...

My girlfriend and I had two mains and a glass of wine over lunch, food and food service were good. However, after we finished I went to the reception desk at the front to ask for directions to get to a nearby beach, Portsea Backbeach and was laughed at for not knowing where it was by an overtly sarcastic man...

Lovely old venue with nice views of the Bay. Pub style menu and reasonable prices for the location. Nice atmosphere. Looks like it could get busy on nice warm days. We had the pulled pork burger and the mussels. All was nice and a fairly generous serve too.

Visited Portsea Hotel for lunch with a relative who is in a wheelchair, there are stairs to get to the disabled toilet and although they have a mobile ramp, it was broken, so no access and then we were told the toilet was "out of service". Very poor attitude towards their disability services, it should be a priority!

Have been to the Portsea Pub only once before around 11 years ago and was really looking forward to going again for lunch. This time it was a beautiful sunny day on a holiday Monday around 1.30pm. On arrival I could see most of the tables were not only busy but stacked up with empty glasses and plates. We managed...

We are on a golf trip and both days we tried to get in for dinner. Sunday night we made it and the manager hurried us along. Monday night we got there earlier than the day before but we missed by 10 minutes at 8.00pm. We ended up at the Sorrento Hotel and the place was buzzing.

Came here for dinner after a day trip to the Mornington Peninsula. It had been many years since we had dined there so I was interested to see if tis long standing reputation as the go to place was still deserved. I have to say we came away extremely disappointed. The interior is very dated and could do with an...

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night with a group of friends. Plenty of parking in the area. Lots of outdoor tables and great view of the ocean. There is a nice grassy area too. The food was just average pub food, nothing special. The service was fairly efficient especially for such a big place (there was an indoor...

I've been in Melbourne for 12 years and always wanted to visit this place. After recently completing the excellent Millionaires Walk from Sorrento I finally had a chance to head to the Portsea Hotel with my partner. Hot and hungry we needed some food and a couple of cold ones. Being mid afternoon on a Friday it wasn't too busy...
