...and close enough to the Ryman. The price was fair, but if I could have found it lower at a newer place within a reasonable drive, I would have stayed there. I'd recommend it if you don't mind a large, dated hotel. Would be a better value if they provided breakfast.

Apparently, I don't understand the rating system because this hotel is rated 3 1/2 stars, and the brand new Marriott Residence Inn is only 3 stars? I would rate this hotel as a 1 1/2 stars maybe. It is an older hotel and is really showing it's age. The lobby looks nice enough but when you go up in the...

My friend and I just stayed at this hotel last night for a girl's weekend, and I can clearly say that I will never waste my money here again. Hands down, the room I got on the 4th floor was filthy. The first thing I noticed upon entering the room, was the door was all broken on the bottom. The...

Recently stayed at the Maxwell House for a business trip. The hotel is older but the staff is incredibly friendly. Great service, convenient for meetings downtown and complimentary parking in Nashville is a rare find!

I was surprised at some of the reviews of this hotel as we found it very good, the staff are very helpful and the rooms decent enough. The bathroom is a little on the small side but clean. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and clean linen and towels. I would certainly stay there again

This hotel is very nice. It is very clean and up to date. It has a bar and a restaurant. It is only minutes from downtown and much cheaper than downtown hotels. They have a free downtown shuttle that runs every 15 minutes to and from downtown Nashville. I would definitely recommend you stay here if you're heading downtown.

I think others are overly harsh of this hotel. We stayed 3 nights for the marathon and had a great experience. They did not do early check-in, which I think was likely to prevent craziness early morning for those trying to check out. It was no problem for us; we had lunch at the restaurant which I thought was surprisingly...

There for Nashville marathon. The early morning staff was rude! No breakfast spread for the thousands of racers there. The room was a mess. The shower flooded the bathroom. The shuttle was late all the time. The hotel stunk. The ice machine missing. Horrible for the 200 dollar cost.

I booked this room thru hotwire....check in went smooth but after that it was all down hill. My room smelt and the pillows were the worst. Saying the room was basic at best is kind. Wanted to order room service but they don't make it easy with no menu in your room. After spending close to 70 dollars on take out, I returned to the hotel to go to my room and the elevator breaks. After being trapped on the elevator for close to 20 min(can u believe it was Friday13) the doors finally open and a hotel employee tried to force us to stay on the broken elevator claiming "if we try to walk of the elevator and it drops we could be hurt"...so what would have happened, if we stayed on the broken elevator, waiting on a nonexistent repair man and it dropped?!?!Needless to say I had to fight for my life and push past the employee. Then walk up and down 5 flights just to get some cutlery, because I was to shaken to use the broken elevator again. Front desk did NOTHING when I tried to tell them about my concerns and even implyed the people on the elevator were responsible. My food was cold by the time I got back to it. So I went to sleep. Woke up to try for some coffee and found out I couldn't EVEN get a complimentary cup of coffee....had to endure the nauseating stench of vomit on the elevator ride back to my room, Someone had vomited and clearly it hasn't been cleaned up just to get to my room and the key isn't working. I do staycations 2x a month. I've stayed at almost every relevant hotel in Nashville, this was my first experience at the Maxwell Milliniem Hotel and it was SORELY DISAPPOINTING!!! For close to 300$ they should be ashamed. My question is where is the accountibility??
