What a great day my family and friends had rafting on the Hiwassee River. It is a very relaxing trip with a few swift currents and beautiful scenery suitable for all ages. The staff at Hiwassee Outfitters was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and made it a great experience. We will definitely be back. Grab a t-shirt while you're there.

We were on vacation from Texas and I have never been rafting or canoeing before. We tried Hiwassee Outfitters and were far from disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The river was very high after all the recent rain so the float was even better than expected! The mountainous views were beautiful and I could not have asked...

We had a great day rafting at Hiwassee Outfitters! This place came highly recommended by a local who rafts there frequently. The prices were reasonable. The staff was helpful. The inflatable rafts and canoes were very sturdy. It is a relaxing, quiet place. Beautiful!

We had a blast kayaking and rafting the Hiwassee! Hiwassee Outfitters earn a five star rating with us since they went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience possible our first time kayaking.

We always love staying at this campground and running this river! While the Ocoee is wilder, the Hiwassee is better for self-guided trips for beginner and even advanced kayaks, canoes, duckies, and yes even inner tubes. The river is wide, clear, beautiful, and lots of fun. Be prepared for a dunking, but even kids are safe paddling this river. Wear...

We took our 2 young boys (3 and 7) to Hiwassee Outfitters for a fun day of funyaking. The overall experience was great! The 7 year old loved it. The 3 was just ok with it. The checking went very smoothly. The 'set up' getting paddles, life jackets etc was down to a science not a problem. However the only...

We love this river espec when the water level is adequate. When we first came, the father-a nice large man- was still alive, & he, his wife, & mainly sons ran the place. It was smaller then, run well. In a few years, they added more buildings & the trailer cabins etc b/c business was good. Our family stayed the...

Campground is pretty much a dump and add rain it turns into a bug infestation.During rainy times the sites send campers scrambling for higher ground then transforms into a giant mudhole.Showers do have hot water, but you feel nastier coming out then you did going in. Raft rental person nel are very rude and overpriced(better service down the road at Web...

The campground itself is really incidental when compared with the river running outfitter. It's two parts of the same deal, but let's review them separately: The campground. I've stayed in better and in worse. It's average. There were no gravel tent pads. Lots of trees if you like to hammock camp (like me). Fresh water faucets are available. There is...
