My husband and I spent two nights here while on our way to Big Bend. We had read about the spring fed pool at Balmorhea State Park and wanted to try it out. I think there are only 3 hotels in Balmorhea and I wouldn't want to stay at the other two. Visitors need to count their blessing that this...

Me and my family planned to traveled from Austin to Balmorhea to visit the state park for four days and three nights but needed a place to lay our heads, so after a quick web search and viewing online pics I decided on El Oso Flojo. I called and reserved the two room suite named El Osito (room 20). I...

We stayed here one night during our road trip through the Big Bend region. Each room is different, we stayed in The Bubba room. Owner was nice, we arrived around 9 pm and he was there to get us checked in. The room was very clean. Two double beds, tv, good sized high table with two barstools, microwave and small...

Upon arrival, there was no one on site. About 15 minutes later, a young man arrived and gave us "El Bubba" (each room is named), a quirky room decorated in kind of a hunting lodge style more in line with what a man would find suitable (can I say here that I used to work at a hotel and would...

We had to stop because we couldn't see because of the snow. We got lucky this hotel is very clean and nice. The guy at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Will keep this place in mind for future road trips. The courtyard was beautiful covered in snow

Slept in standstill traffic for over seven hours. Finally made it to the exit needed to head to this inn. Much needed shower and bed! Cozy little place seems to me the best in town. The owner and her son are very kind and quick to prepare a room! Rooms even have a nice balcony :)

We are headed back home and decided to try our luck in Balmorhea rather than on the interstate, and am really glad we did. The hotel is cute, and the interior of our room (#1) is pretty and comfortable. There's a nice interior courtyard. it's quiet and comfy, and very convenient to the owners little Mexican restaurant across the irrigation...

We stopped for the night at Flojo's on a trip across Texas and found it to be a very good choice. It is certainly a very nice break from the cookie-cutter motels along the highways of America. Everything was clean, tidy and the service was nice, too. If you're up for something a little different... Give it a whirl!

Clean rooms ,we had 4 of them ,....mine had a killer view of the Davis mountains. Nice big showers , Good cold air blowin' AC units ,.....what more could you ask for ?.....Spent the day at San Solomon Springs ,then went on a motorcycle ride to Ft. Davis ,.....the room was welcome after that long day. A couple of decent...

This little place is great. Blows the other two places in town, away!!! We stay here on our diving trips with students to Balmorhea State Park which is just a few miles away. Beds are great, rooms are clean. They did a great job with this place. The little mexican restaurant next door is a must try.
