Beautiful ranch in the magnificent part of the Hill Country! Our family (2 adults & 2 kids) spent 1 week on the ranch and enjoyed every moment of the stay. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well decorated. The ranch management and staff were attentive and very supportive. The horses were just great - beautiful, friendly and well behaving. The...

Stunningly beautiful sunsets, quiet surroundings, stargazing to the sound of coyotes, sitting by our small fire, or having tea on the porch, watching the horses grazing free on the grounds... This place is something out of the ordinary... We searched hard to find a place to go horseback riding, preferably one where we could stay overnight. There was none. They...

In December, I visited HCEL for the second time. This trip was strictly getting away and relaxing for my daughter and me. Our cabin was perfect down to the tiniest detail -- you couldn't ask for a lovelier, more comfortable accommodation. The setting is gorgeous -- a hill country ranch that abuts a protected forest that's pristine and untouched by...

Bandera is in the Texas hill country. We were fortunate to be here for a few days prior to and including Christmas. The cabin in which we stayed was large enough for our family of 5 adults and 1 11-year-old. We invited friends from neighboring Fredericksburg for dinner, and although we had to move the table out to accommodate all...

I got engaged here in May. I was looking for something rustic, out of the way, and relaxed. This turned out to be a perfect fit. My fiance and I really needed to get outdoors after over a year of being cooped up in metropolitan Houston. The fresh air, the running water, the quiet cabin was a great release. We...

Once again, Hill Country Equestrian Lodge was the perfect destination for a few days of beautiful horseback riding and visits to the "Cowboy Capital of the World", Bandera, Texas. As always we were welcomed with a beautiful cabin, clean stalls for our horses, and many smiling faces. While the cabins are always perfect I did notice this year that some...

This is a great place for couples, friends, or family. We rode through the park one day, shopped historic Bandera, hiked the State Natural Park the next day. Beds were comfortable and we loved the cabin. We will be back with the family.

Our family of five (kids age 10,8, and 5) visited Hill Country Equestrian Lodge for two nights in early November 2016. We were travelling to Austin from Ontario for a combined business and family holiday. We are so glad we chose this beautiful spot for part of our week in Texas. During our stay we were able to have two...

We were looking for a romantic weekend that we could bring our own horses. HCEL was amazing. We could have stayed 2 weeks and not been able to ride all the trails in the adjacent park. Barn was great and well maintained BY THE STAFF! The cottage was perfect. We enjoyed the fire pit every night.
