My family spent Dec 27 (daytrip) at Rancho Cortez, and I now completely understand why this family owned ranch is rated #1 by TripAdvisor reviews. My young boys (9 and 11) were in cowboy heaven. They can’t wait to go back, and I plan to bring more family members (cousins) the next time I come. From the moment we arrived,...

I had a wonderful time at Rancho Cortez. It's a beautiful location, the food was delicious and the folks there made us feel like part of the family. We got expert help and attention during our riding experiences. I can't wait to go back--already working on a trip back in February!

I recently spent a wonderful long weekend at Rancho Cortez to celebrate a couple of birthdays with family. We spent quite a bit of time researching dude ranches in the area and settled on Rancho Cortez, and we were very happy with our decision. I corresponded with Cheryl several times as we planned our trip, and she always responded promptly...

My sister-in-law and I decided to do a girls trip to Texas for our birthday's. In order to get the true Texas experience, we figured a Dude Ranch was the way to go, and we could not have been more right! As soon as we stepped on property, we were treated like one of the family, and officially dubbed "The...

Way out in the country, quiet, no cell phone, no television... peace and quiet in a ranch setting... ahhh! Brings out the real cowboy/cowgirl in you. We enjoyed riding horses on a leisurely trail ride in the country, learning to handle them in the corral, and the cowboy stories during the campfire every evening. After a cowboy story or regional...

We went for a long girls' weekend and had an amazing time. I never left the table hungry and slept like a rock every night. Cowboy Larry met us at the riding arena when we arrived and made us feel like family right away. It was a great way to get away from the big city. We were on horseback...

I recently spent a long weekend at Rancho Cortez to celebrate a few birthdays. The people at the ranch were nice and friendly from the minute we walked into the office. We signed some waivers, and off we went to the arena. We were immediately greeted by Larry Cortez, the owner, who gave us a hard time about our shiny...

I arranged for 10 of our leaders to meet for 1 1/2 days at Rancho Cortez. The location is great - the staff is friendly and very welcoming. Everyone enjoyed the experience very much and I can wholeheartedly recommend it for business meetings and families, alike. They truly bend over backwards to make you comfortable and to make sure you...

Enjoyed my stay at Rancho Cortez, my cabin was clean and my bed was very comfortable. The meals were great, loved their freshly baked desserts and hot coffee. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I was there on business but this is an excellent place for families to stay at too. Lots of fun.

Never been to a place quite like Rancho, but it made a business meeting a wonderful experience. Great people that make you feel right at home, regardless of why you are there. The food was great, accomodations were clean and comfortable and the riding instruction and stories from the Ranch owner Larry, are second to none. Thanks for a great experience...
