We had an excellent lunch here, and enjoyed wandering around the gardens and small shop. The menu was varied, and the food very good. We were not staying here, but it looked very nice though I would imagine it is not cheap. The area is very good for birding and hiking with spectacular waterfalls, scenery and wildlife.

We stayed at the Hidden Valley Inn in connection with an REI Adventures Trip. We didn't know what to expect at the end of the long dirt road through the Belizean mountains leading up to the Inn - however, we were pleasantly surprised and thrilled with the quality of the Hidden Valley Inn. The main structure (reception, dining, bar and...

We became interested in Hidden Valley Inn because it's not a huge resort. Small enough for personal service yet big enough for gourmet dinning and drinks. Well maintained hiking/walking/biking trails, spectacular falls, plenty of places for solitude. When we wanted to explore the area or ruins, helpful and knowledgeable guides were always available. You really get personalized tours with some...

Really good service and wonderful drinks. Lots of local wildlife in the area. Close to king vulture falls and 1,000 foot falls but the real beauty is butterfly falls. Beautiful pool and patio on site. Pretty pricey. But they have a great presentation about the local carnivores in the area, given by a super cute biologist.

We travelled to Hidden Valley Inn during the weekend with the kids and it was an enjoyable stay. We have two kids, Brianna (13yrs) and Gabriel (3yrs). It is amazing that there is many activities for the kids. We hiked to the butterfly falls and the falcon lookout with all had an amazing view. Dinner was enjoyable with the family...

This must be the best way to explore the Belizean jungle, a mix of luxury with nature. Remotely located within an extensive private nature reserve, the main lodge and facilities is fabulous. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and attentive. We had our own private cottage which was marvellous, complete with our own log fire! The rainforest surroundings...

This was not quite what we expected, but the helpful staff made up for our misconceptions. We had been led to believe there were lots of walks from the hotel, for which we needed no special equipment, and planned to enjoy these each day. Our first foray taught us we needed to be much fitter, more sure footed and better...

From mixed up luggage to a smoky fire in the lounge, and messed up dinner order, this place just misses. They are nice, try very hard, but don't quite manage to pull it off. I would look elsewhere if I were to return to the area.
