We stayed in the Canyon of the Eagles Resort for one night and camped in the campground for a night. It was a great getaway with warm temps in March, a very welcome delight after being socked-in under the gray, rainy Seattle sky. The Bluebonnets were in full bloom and the smell of the air plus the sound of Cicadas...

Lake Buchanan provides a beautiful backdrop for Canyon of the Eagles Resort. If you are hoping for a quiet tranquil getaway, then this resort is a great choice. The drive up 2341 to the resort is gorgeous. We had never vacationed in this area, so this was a bonus. The grounds around the cabins are immaculate, but get out and...

Good Afternoon Nedra M, We want to start off by saying thank you for taking the time to review us and for choosing to stay with us here at Canyon of the Eagles. We are currently in the middle of a room upgrade / remodel, and I have passed this review on to that committee to aid in the remodel....

Rooms were clean, free of television(this is not for everyone), very basic accomodations, with a great view of sunsets over the lake. The "award winning" restaurant was average, and they were very short handed(Wed night), Really nice fire ring outside. The musician should have been auditioned....he was very amateur, didn't look like anyone was enjoying it. We did enjoy the...

Really lovely, unique place off the beaten path. Perched on a cliff overlooking Lake Buchanan. Good food, wonderful view, outdoor seating. I would definitely go back and take friends. A good place to eat after the riverboat tour.

We stayed during the week and missed the crowds of the Bluebonnet Festival in Burnet - couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. Rustic but comfortable rooms (would try to get a microwave next time), beautiful scenery, resort grounds are immaculately kept and beautiful, restaurant top notch, staff friendly and attentive. Take advantage of the Eagle Eye Observatory and Astronomer Jim for...

We stayed in one of the tent spots, Chimney Slough. On their site it shows it as water only sites, but there is no water. But you can get water from the store as there is a spigot there. The port-a-potties were gross, but a short drive down the road will get you to the restrooms. Other than that it...

While the water is up in Lake Buchanan, this is a great spot for a quick and total escape. The resort is at the top of the park, with a beautiful overlook of the Lake. The cabins are quiet and comfortable, although not luxurious. Who wants man-made luxury when you have these sweet Spring smells and magnificent view? There are...
