We booked a weekend stay after an earlier visit for Sunday lunch which we had enjoyed. Our room was warm and cosy but didn't have the views the other rooms seemed to have but we put this down to the fact we were on a deal and didn't expect the best. Like a previous reviewer we were disappointed that the...

Had a great weekend here - booked via Wowcher for a reality great price for 2 nights- the room was perfectly comfortable and clean. It's not luxurious but well worth what we paid. However the food in the restaurant was fantastic- top class

We stayed on a Living Social deal which included 2 nights B&B, a 2 course dinner and a small bottle of Prosecco for £129. Our room was upstairs in the new block outside, it was spacious with a large bed. The Prosecco was waiting on the side ready chilled, which showed good attention to detail. The bathroom had a bath...

Our room was well decorated. We had underfloor heating that we could control with a thermostat. The food was delicious and the staff welcoming. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We have booked to go back.

Stayed at the Black Swan for a 2 night getaway. Cosy county pub which is "work in progress "and under refurb (don't let that put you off). Dined on consecutive evenings and thoroughly enjoyed the food quality and quantity. Breakfast was good, with the exception that the kitchen had run out of sugar for our cereals. Food was fresh and...

Just had a 2 night midweek stay here. On arrival, Lucy the manager was very welcoming and showed us to our room with a small gift. The room was first class. We ate in the restaurant both nights. Great food, great service.

This was our second two night visit as we had enjoyed the same in the early summer. We stayed Sunday and Monday nights. Again the accommodation was of a good standard with room tastefully decorated. The underfloor heating meant the room was very warm even through outside temperatures were low. The food is locally sourced, breakfast is huge, and the...

Came here a few years ago and came along again for the bonfire in Masham. The room was good although not quite as nice as the first room which I think was a superior room with a large bathroom and Jacuzzi bath, and lovely views from the two windows. However the room was (very) warm and comfortable on a cold...
