I went there with my family, hus and 2 kids. We took a small house dated from 100 years ago. They modernized it and I have to say is wonderful. Inside is cozy, 2 rooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen and "prispa ". We lived there like our grandparents did long time ago. This was a good experience for our children...

this very unusual place sits in the middle of a highly traditional village in to which it blends harmoniously. The project to deconstruct old buildings and reconstruct them with modern facilities makes it like a 'Skansen' hotel. Its a perfect example of harmonious tourist development which brings to the village rather than detracting from it. The houses are comfortable with...

My wife and I spent two weeks in Romania in late August/early September 2016. The region of Maramures was the highlight of our trip, with a planned stay of 4 nights at the Village Hotel in Breb. If you get the chance ... stay here. The location in this small village is serene and comfortable. The Village Hotel captures this...

I went to Village Hotel in Breb with my partner and 2year old daughter. It was perfect and just what we had hoped for. The houses were very authentic and done in a beautiful way in keeping with the style of Romanian houses. There are lovely sitting area's where we could relax and my daughter loved playing poo sticking in...

This place is something special in Maramures, one of kind. The host Penny as well. Just dont expect any fancy hotel, but just a traditional wooden house with all facilities available. You surely can have a good relaxing time.

If you have never been, forget all your pre conceived ideas about Romania. It's a sad indictment of their government that they have for years, failed to push and exploit the vast, tourist potential of the country. Twice the size of the UK, with about 20 million people, the country is truly, breathtakingly beautiful. Many people can speak English, especially...

We booked with Casa mica or the village hotel via air bob. Penny who runs the place with her husband was very helpful. Its preferable that you mark the location with google map as the village around may not speak any english. Its a century old property kept in its actual way. The houses are typical farmer houses from maramures...

Travelled in June as two families, therefore booking 2 different houses. The location is absolutely outstanding, easy to reach and close to small shops in the village. The traditional houses do benefit of modern technology, such as fully equipped kitchen, hot running water and indoor toilet. The team takes all the efforts in order to make the guests feel welcomed...

Staying in the Village Hotel in Breb goes down as one of the most extraordinary holidays in years. 7 of us including kids comfortably stayed in one of the beautifully reconstructed wooden houses - thoughtfully decorated in traditional Romanian village style with plenty of space to relax in and outside around the fire place. 7 days wasn't enough time to...

It is hard to describe in words how much it is that the people running a hotel makes a stay special or not. All the more so for intimate properties like this. Set in an incomparably peaceful spot in the sleepy village of Breb in the wonderful Maramures region of Transylvania, a million miles from the Dracula jamboree that exists...
