My wife and I stayed 2 nights in Bedroom #1 at the Olle Hotel (historic hotel in Flatonia) in May 2015 as part of the Great Austin to Shiner Pedal bike event. This location is just 15 minutes north of Shiner. Kathryn is a great host with great attention to detail. The hotel, including the front porch and breakfast each...

Step back in time a hundred years or so as you rock on the porch of this 1800's home, relax in the parlor beside by the piano, or enjoy breakfast in the cozy dining area. This beautiful historic home is filled with period antiques. So relaxing. Friendly owners and staff. Some say that friendly ghosts of the past sometimes appear...

Nice two bedroom with kitchenette and dining table with a comfy bed and chair in each bedroom. Brought our kennel and the dog and walked the dog around the downtown area park! Watched the trains on their great new benches. Breakfasts were Kolaches of course and fresh fruit and yogurt and juice. Nice place to stay.

It is welcoming, homey, interesting, comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic, homemade, delicious. The hostess is very knowledgeable and friendly. I rare consider going to any B&B more than...

I had a chance to read your review and thank you for taking time out to tell about your good experience at the Olle Hotel. We spent the weekend here while seeing the painted churches around Flatonia and Schulenburg. The location was great, the owner was great, the breakfast was great! We stayed in the Tausch Room on the second floor. It was a good size with a large bathroom. By the way, Olle cat (the orange one) loves to have his belly rubbed.

The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. The breakfast was very good. Fresh baked egg casseroles that varied from day to day, with lots of fresh fruit and fresh pastries all in the charming ambiance of small town Texas.
