We toured a room before renting; thank goodness. Everything in the room looked clean and acceptable until I examined the bathroom. That's when I observed a cockroach run along the floor next to the tub! Needless to say we did not rent the room.

Texan Inn is not a luxurious hotel. It is plain, simple and offers a good room at a decent price for a night. The air conditioner worked well, as well as the WIFI and the small television with cable channels. While the carpet has recently been replaced the other parts of the room were nice..worn but still in good shape.... More

The manager was very helpful. The rooms really needed to be up dated and the room smelled stuffy, but the A/C worked well. The room was over priced, paid $72.00 per night. We would not stay at this place again.

We weren't planning on stopping here but were actually headed to another hotel when we decided to stop. Although the price was right and the room clean, The bed felt like concrete. Or maybe it was two box springs put together. I will say the gentleman at the desk was friendly and very helpful to offer tips about getting through... More

We were travelling across Texas and needed to stay overnight. Unlike all the other hotels and inns in Fort Stockton, this one was of reasonable price and the staff was able to provide last-minute accommodation as we didn't know where exactly we're going to stay that night. All of the hotels we checked out were overpriced and full because of... More

On our return trip to East Texas we were planning to zip through Fort Stockton because of our prior experience heading West with what I consider motel overpricing in Fort Stockton. The area is not worth the cost but the Fort is today what San Francisco was during the gold rush days--in this case thanks to the "oil-gas" rush in... More

“Check-out the rooms first. Park, then try not to move the car-- you may lose your parking place to a truck. As with the other motels in town some rooms have more than one person and each person may have their own vehicle--usually a work truck, so parking is tight. My suggestion--drive through Fort Stockton to another location to spend the night--if possible.”
