We have stayed in many bed and breakfast places, and we have always enjoyed the warm greeting and partaking of the hospitality. Someone forgot to tell the owner about this. There was no hospitality and no greeting. No one checked us in. The owner was at the property, but he never came to the door or directed us into our...

The location is lovely, and the room was clean, but the new owners (about 11 months now) do not understand the concept of a B&B. This is their new lake house, and they rent out rooms. Enough said. If things haven't improved in 11 months, they won't until they simply don't have any renters left. We liked the lake location,...

First: the folks who run this were responsive to our concerns when we discovered that the little cabin was not what we hoped it would be. They didn't penalize us when we cancelled our second night because of loud guests and very loud music off-property. We had chosen this spot because we wanted nature and quiet and peace. Our suggestion...

My wife and I have been staying in B&Bs for almost 20 years, and this is the first one-star rating we've given. Where to start? Well, we arrived on a Friday, and saw a sign on the door which gave us a number to call. Once we called the number, we were told where the key to the room was,...

This was our first time at a B&B and we were disappointed. This was valentine's weekend! We stayed in the safari room, it was not clean (dirty rags left in shower). There is also a vent that connected the upstairs room with ours and there was a loud TV on most of the time. We arrived late so they left...

We rented the little bungalow which was really cute and clean. The Queen bed in bedroom was very uncomfortable; it sunk in the middle. There was a loft upstairs with a queen mattress that was comfy. We had lots of small probs that just ended up being annoying. Had to call Fri. To let them know a puddle was surrounding...

We booked our stay to get away from our busy life style and were not disappointed! We stayed in the Terrace room and the view was spectacular. We had a nice view of the lake from our balcony and could further enjoy inside our hot tub. We've stayed many B&B and all are different. This one, although we never saw...

We really like this B & B because you are not staying inside the owners actual house, but have your own private entrance (on the back of the 2-story house) & all 3 face Lake Palestine. We also like the way the "breakfast" is served - it's awaiting you in the mini-frig in your room along with a microwave to...

This was the poorest excuse for a B&B that we've ever experienced after hundreds of visits to B&Bs in many parts of the world -- The Inn itself faced Lake Palestine uncomfortably close to the highway nearby so the setting was not terribly serene. The room, while cute with African motif, had a decent bed but the charm ended there....

We searched for a Bed & Breakfast on the water close enough to trip in from Austin, TX. When we saw this place on the internet, we just had to book it for our anniversary weekend. The owner was very sweet and accommodating. The room was lovely. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. The view was breathtaking. The hot...
