This place is absolutely amazing and the pictures don't do it justice. Will definitely be back many times with friends and family. The owner was super accommodating and they have just opened a new event center which is beautiful. Thanks for the awesome stay!

I always do extensive research on accommodations when traveling (for work or leisure) and I mean spreadsheets and flow charts kind of research!! In weighing the pros and cons, I must say Rock Hill was not our first choice as the other rentals on the grounds were situated fairly close to each other. This trip was a girls weekend and... More

We arrived to the really cute "Tank House" with a reservation for a two night stay. The first night, we climbed the tiny spiral stairwell to the most awful bed I've ever in my life slept in. It was so bad, I was trying to figure out if I could sleep on the "sofa" but it wasn't even the size... More

I wanted to respond as the owner of the Hideaway to this very unfortunate review. I was never contacted or made aware of any concerns these guests might have had during their stay to try and remedy any missed expectations. I greatly appreciate any and all comments submitted regarding visits, and this is the first time in 5 years anyone... More

My husband and I stayed at the Rock house hideaway at the end of September, in the Guest House. The accommodations were beautiful and very comfortable. We loved having a front and back porch to enjoy the view. The property is about 2 miles west of downtown Main Street and has a big house, tank house and big New Barn... More

We stayed for two nights, during the week, in the Guest House. Accomodations were great and the property was quiet. Couldn't tell if this was a true B&B, but breakfast is not part of the package. Don't worry, there are more than enough places in town for excellent breakfasts. Will definitely return, even with a large group of friends for... More

We are fans of the Rock House Hideaway! It was the perfect place to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The Tank House room was beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and charming. We will definitely be going back!!

Communication was good. The property is well-maintained and the finishes are first class. There is a great covered porch for relaxing, a glass of wine and reading. The 2-3 miles from town is mitigated by the country setting. It is near the highway, but the noise was not a big problem. The bedroom is upstairs with access via a pretty... More

My wife and I recently stayed in the Guest House and loved the place! Ben has done a great job with the furnishings....felt like home. The property is very convenient to downtown Fredricksburg. Just a great place and it was very clean.

We stayed at the Rock House Hideaway on a Friday - Sunday for a couples retreat (5 couples). The accommodations were just about perfect. The home is located in a close proximity to the center of Fredericksburg. The grounds were beautiful & scenic. The home itself was well built, tastefully decorated, and had quality linens and furniture. Although it is... More

Our extended family has been visiting Fredericksburg for many years. We have an annual reunion there. We've stayed at a number of different guest houses over time, but this one has provided the best lodging experience so far. We stayed at Rock House Hideaway June 12th-15th, 2014. Our group this year had 8 adults and 5 children, so we rented... More
