My wife and I needed a short, relaxing vacation and chose to visit the Texas hill country during early April to view the bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush, which were spectacular. As experienced travelers, we highly recommend the Wasserfall cabin within Barons Creekside. You probably cannot go wrong with any cabin, but we can attest to Wasserfall. While convenient to Fredericksburg,... More

The cabins dot a lovely landscape focusing on a pretty creek bubbling through the low ground. We spent several hours in the rockers on our porch watching ducks, hummingbirds, and cardinals. The decor is fun and comfortable. It's close to town but away from the crowds. Highly recommended.

We stopped in at The Club for a drink and met the owner. He was very friendly and he was able to get us a room because of a cancellation. The "Room" turned out to be a beautiful house with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. After settling into our Room, we went back to The Club to enjoy the live... More

Baron's Creekside is very convenient to Hwy. 290 and downtown Fredricksburg. Unfortunatley, we could hear the traffic on 290 from our cabin. For the price (just shy of $600 for 2 nights/inc. taxes, etc), we expected a little more. The owners were very nice and attentive to our needs and accommodated us having to postpone our stay. Our cabin was... More

This place is quite charming. Very close to the wineries. We stayed in Barons Log Cabin. Such a warm and welcoming feeling to be here. In the morning we walked the grounds and saw some ducks. This is a very lovely place. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend for our 2nd wedding anniversary. The check in/out process was easy and the cabin was beautiful. We stayed in the Interlaken cabin. It was fully stocked with dishes, so you don't need to bring your own. There is no stove to cook on, but there is a grill outside. There... More

My wife & I celebrated our anniversary with a stay at Baron's Creekside. We stayed in the very quaint Baron's Log Cabin, an authentic 1870 log cabin relocated to Fredericksburg from Kentucky. Although it had a rustic feel to it, our cabin was very comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. This is not a true bed & breakfast;... More

We just left our home away from home and can't wait to return in May. We have stayed at the Rhinefalls and the Wasserfall, they all have nice porches and rocking chairs. It doesn't matter in which cabin you stay, all of them are unique and romantic. The Swiss owner, Daniel has created each cabin with great detail using recycle... More
