Definitely a unique experience! So much history and the decor inside the accommodations adds to the experience. We enjoyed reading the guest log book (enough to give anyone the spooks) and loved hearing the church bells toll at night after darkness settled in. You have the entire courtyard to yourself for the evening so be sure to explore after hours....

Talk about staying ion magical history. The Presidio has been painstakingly restored to its authentic state from the 1800s and the Captain's Quarters (where you stay the night) are wonderful. The quarters consist of two bedrooms, a living area and a kitchen (you can stay a week and never have to leave.) At night you have the whole place to...

We drove down from Houston for a unique weekend stay with two friends from Austin, to check out the historical sites, beautiful downtown square, and the brewery. The Quarters are a well-maintained, air conditioned, and appropriately furnished option for up to 4. Overnight we had full, private access to the interior of the Presidio and enjoyed sitting out and watching...

I have never stayed anywhere so unique . Quarters at Presidio La Bahia will transport you to the past and leave you with impressions of a life time. Not only you rent the hunted Quarters all to yourself, you also will have a full access at night to the whole property - imagine walking historical grounds at night! Words simply...

This is an amazing opportunity-- something we will always remember! There aren't many places where you can actually spend the night in a place with such awesome historical significance, so if you have the chance to stay here, jump on it! It really is an opportunity of a lifetime. We were incredibly lucky in that there had been a cancellation...

We waited 4 months to stay there due to the popularity and being that my wife is a paranormal activity researcher she was thrilled I got her this for an anniversary present. Check in was great but to make a long story short at appox. 2:15 a.m. we had a local guy and girl jump the fort wall and make...

We saw the Presidio on a television show and decided it was a place we would like to visit. The Quarters is a bit pricey (over $200), but after 5:00 the entire compound is yours to enjoy until 9 the next morning! Of course, the buildings are locked, but the enclosed grounds are yours. Since The Quarters is the former...

Very comfortable. Was exciting to stay at a place with so much history. Would definately stay here again. We had the whole place to ourselves. We did not see any ghosts but learned a lot about Texas history. The most unique place I have ever stayed

This was an amazing place to stay. Very comfortable for a family of 4. The quarters are across from the chapel and are the previous priest quarters. You are the only people in the presidio after it closes at 5:00. So you must check in before the volunteers leave. Also you must book thru the volunteers. The kitchen is small,...

We stayed at the quarters for a night...the Texas history of this historical site made it so much more interesting. It's unbelievable and so sad that so many were massacred. To be able to stay and visit the monument where the men are buried and the actual graves on the grounds was powerful and emotional. There wre 6 adults in...
