This was the first HI I've stayed in that I've actually felt has an actual social feel to it. It's got a pool and the whole patio is ideal really. Rooms are clean, beds are great. Houston is massive and you really need a car to access most of it but it's located in a lively enough area after a...

Great hostel conveniently situated to buses and tram/train. Super shuttle will drop you at the door for $23 each. Friendly staff, adequate breakfast. Would be nice to see a bit more maintenance being done to preserve this gorgeous old building.

I had 24 hours layover at IAH. It was my first time in a hostel and it was great! I got to meet very nice people and the staff was very prompt to take care of everything I needed. I recommend this hostel indeed. Clean, well located and of course nice staff. (They took good care of my baggage while...

I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights and loved it here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The common areas were great and met some really nice people here. Loved being able to chill next to the pool. The place was spotless though I have to say the bathroom was not cleaned well in the room I stayed...

I stayed for two nights on a whim whilst making my way to Florida from Los Angeles and ran into some trouble booking airline tickets all the way. Got to this hostel in Houston and was not disapointed at all! It was a quieter place and easy to get work done late at night in the common areas. Still close...

I'm an Irish backpacker who's spent 7 nights here split over Dec 2015 and Jan 2016. Have to say that having spent 6 weeks in the States thus far, in a variety of hostels, this is the best. A converted Houston mayor's house, it has a great kitchen with every utensil you may need, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable reception and...

Stayed 2 nights in an 8 bed dorm and couldn't fault the experience! Dorms were clean and comfortable, as is the usual HI standard. Bathrooms were ample and always clean. Kitchen was amazingly well equipped, in all honesty the best I've seen in a hostel. Location wise this hostel was amazing, very close to downtown and amenities such as small...

We stay at Morty Rich every year. Over the last year considerable improvements have been made. Redecoration and general maintenance is noticeable. Full refurbishment of the kitchen is a great improvement (and a bigger fridge is on its way). As always this hostel is marked by the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff.
