The town of Jefferson was everything I imagined from the pictures. From the antique stores, to the general store, hotels, and restaurants. Quiet, quaint, and wonderful getaway with that tad bit of excitement from the ghost stories and history. Our first night was at the The Excelsior House in the "Jay Gould" room. I love the charm of the hotel...

This is a lovely hotel in Jefferson. The staff is friendly and close to all the great sites to see. Our room was beautiful with a wonderful bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable 😬. The courtyard was beautiful and allowed us to enjoy the beautiful night by the fountain.

This hotel is a gem! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. We stayed here because we like staying in historic haunted places. The night was uneventful except for both of us being awakened at the same time by the sound of a hospital gurney?/cart with wheels? going down the hall at 2:30am... but, there are no...

This hotel has amazing breakfast! To walk through this hotel at night since Jefferson is haunted, will give you good chills. The history that surrounds this hotel is amazing. The travelers from years past are even more amazing that you feel the part. The rooms are very comfortable and the accommodations are exceptional. I will definitely stay here again with...

This hotel was very comfy and vintage. The staff was very friendly and informational. The beds were comfortable too. We stayed early Dec before the crowd came in for the Christmas train activities. The only thing I did not like were the nightly trains that go through there all night long blowing their horns and then the local church bells...

A small group of us stayed one night at this historic hotel during a motorcycle trip. There is a lot of history in the lobby that is worth exploring. We were greeted by a very nice lady behind the desk. The dining area and porch were used for breakfast. Very elegant. The breakfast is pretty straight forward. If the weather...

We liked staying here at the hotel. Our room was in the historical section of the hotel. We just stayed one night here but the staff was nice . Only issue we had was the mattress was a little old so whenever one of us moved we were almost rolling right off the bed.

We always stay at The Excelsior House when visiting Jefferson. The rooms are comfortable and you can pick your room online if it's available during your travel dates. The website shows the room and give details about the type of bed(s) and the bathrooms. The hotel is well maintained by the Garden Club. The staff is always friendly and are...

Then the Excelsior is for you. We stayed one night in Room 201. The hotel is a great old building with a lot of history. My wife and I seek out these types of places so the review is not Caucasus I expected a modern hotel. Check-in was uncomfortable. We arrived at 2:50PM, check-in is at 3PM. And so is...

Stayed here for 1 night during the Jefferson Haunting Convention. We stayed in room 205 which was very cute. The room itself was very quiet and comfortable. White comforters on the bed reassured me that the bedding was clean. Ice machine was easily accessible. The TV only had 5 stations and since there isn't much to do in this town...
