We stayed in Unit 3105 and found it was nice, the view was awesome. It's a private home - and done very well. There is a nice indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools. Lago Vista is a nice little Texas town in the Hill Country. Next time we visit Lago Vista, we'll stay here. We had a great, relaxing time.

This is a nice facility for boaters. All the condo amenities plus covered boat slips while you are there. Our 3 bedroom had a huge porch and balcony, perfect for the sunsets, very comfortable and well equipped. Two outdoor pools, never crowded and one indoors at the spa (very nice, with sauna and gym) should have spent more time there....

The property looks beautiful from the lake and coming down the hill. When we got to our condo my family wasn't impressed. Bugs covered the living room ceiling, the air took two whole days to go down 5 degrees (to 76). I don't suggest going for a night swim, we were covered in mosquitos. They do have nice boat docks...

After reading the reviews I felt it important to make some clarification for potential renters. The unit that you rent is not an apartment in a complex that is owned by a single owner, it's a condo owned by an individual. That individual may be a group of investors or someone who bought it for investment or someone who occasionally...

We were in the area for a wedding. I am not sure there was a better option of where to stay. As all the other reviews state, the lake is very low. This condo place is HUGE and kind of dated feels like an apartment building, which it is really. We saw three condos as many people were renting for...

The only thing The Island has going for it is the location. The views facing Pace Bend are great and it is the one of the few places to stay in Lago Vista. With the depressingly low lake levels, this is no longer an Island - the pictures on the website are deceiving. The nearest restaurant and grocery store is...

we rented a condo for our Christmas vacation this year. the location is superb very peaceful . the construction looks elegant but there is lot of scope for renovation and maintenance. we didn't face any issue in terms of services but in general looks like management needs to put more attention towards maintenance. just 2 barque areas in whole property...

The Island at Lake Travis looks impressive on line. Many of the photos were taken when the lake was about 70' higher. The Island isn't an island anymore - more of a peninsula. The entrance side bridge goes over land not water because the lake is so low. There are no boat ramps available at the resort due to the...

If I could give them a 0 I would. This condo is in HORRIBLE conditions!!!! It's old, out-dated, disgusting, and just plain out TRASH!!!! They should be embarrassed to rent this condo out to anyone. The furniture is old, the ceiling is disgusting, they have a shelf as a table with linens on it, the restroom curtains are yellow and...

Dear Bathie2014

My name is Doug and I am the owner of North Shore Vacation Rentals. First because I did not see a unit number I was not sure if you rented through us or through a individual owner. But ether way you had made some great points and had some good questions. First you are correct...the lake is down over 50ft depend if you are talking normal level or full. If you rented from us I am not sure why my staff did not tell you that there are no boat ramps but limited places where you can launch your boat from a beach area, or check our website. Yes it does look weird that we could have so many slips and a treacherous way to get to these slips. The Condo owners association made a decision based on the home owners who keep their boats in the slips to build the long steps to get to their boats on the front of the island. Some use it some do not. Yes we rent the slips for 50.00 so if you find a place to put your boat into the lake it is a little easier to get to your boat rather then pulling in in and out of the less than favorable launches. Now for all the empty slips, the three boat houses with slips in the front part of the island are the ones we rent. The ones in the back part in the cove have not been commissioned by the COA so are unusable at this time even though you see some boats in them. As far as the pool being closed do to shocking I totally agree with you and they are normally done during the week...I am not sure why this happened. There was some repairs made on the south pool around the time you were there and after they resurfaced the bottom they had to shock the water. I believe that the north pool should have been opened and the indoor pool.

Again I am very sorry for your inconvenience with your boat. If you did get your boat in I hope you were lucky enough to find the great beach that has appeared with the low lake levels. It is across from Lakeway near Point Venture. The sand is soft like on the Caribbean and in the summer you would think you were in Port A with out all the salt and seaweed....and critters.

I hope this helps you under stand and hope you did enjoy yourself.
