This is camping at it's best. There is a wide selection of retro caravans, teepees and safari tents or of course you can take your own (tent). I won't lie it's not cheap, but it makes a nice change from a hotel room and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's great being able to shower outdoors but still have...

Super idea (tents, trailer, outside bathrooms, communal kitchen etc..) BUT - overpriced (90US$/night the cheapest tent) - unfriendly staff (more occupied to check cell phone than to talk to guest) and NO service - dirty showers and dirty sinks (didn't see someone cleaning in 3 days) - only coffee for breakfast - noisy (what could have been a + =...

We stayed two nights in a tepee at the end of August, and it was an incredible experience - but not for everyone. Warning: the restrooms and showers are communal, requiring you to venture out into the cold desert night to use the bathroom or walk back from a shower. There is no wifi where you are staying, only in...

Stayed in a safari tent which was super cool. It had a fan, comfy bed, fun little "mini bar", and a couple windows. Within walking distance of showers and facilities. Was a nice stay. I rented a hot tub, thinking after an 8 hour drive it would be divine. It was set behind the checkin building with a spectacular view...

We stayed in a Safari Tent and it was great. They had it kitted out with electrics, fans, extra blankets. Whatever you needed. The facilities were great and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend! There's internet within the main area which is perfect for what we needed.

My 9 year old child and I stayed in a Yurt for two nights. It was an incredible experience but it's not for everyone. Be forewarned you are camping. It is somewhat glamorous camping but it is camping. We stayed in Yurt 1. It was nicely appointed with a real bed, electricity and fans. Above all it is CLEAN. I...

We stayed in the Princess trailer which is the only Airstream on the property. Its at the very back of the property, but not too far from the cocoon hammocks! They say that there is a shower in the room, its more of a tiny bathtub with a removable shower head. There is also a shower outside, but it was...

Went there with family including small chiffren. The place is an experience but for those who prefer a bit more comfort, one night is enough to experience el cosmico. To be honest, considering that we are travelling with a baby, only a visit of the place would have been enough. Staff really friendly and helpful when we cancelled our second...

Me and a friend stayed here for 2 nights the stay was great, very beautiful however the front desk staff was not so nice. She was very short and non-inviting. It seemed as if she didnt want to be there. Maybe she had one too many beers I could totally smell it on her breathe as her attempt to hide...

I spent one night at El Cosmico during a trip in Texas. The atmosphere is really... different: like camping but back to the 70's. Moreover, there's something magic there... Maybe the desert around, maybe the lights... Who knows... The place is nice and if you want to spend a couple of days in Marfa, this is the place.
