With a wonderful beach aside, the magnificient view of Poseidon's temple, this is a place worth staying some times. Peaceful and quiet. Excellent service, bar and food just in front of the Aegean sea. Very recommended.

We stayed four nights in Sounio in the famous bay beneath the Poseidon Temple and it is a very special location just 60 km from Athens airport where we rented and returned our hire car - we then took the metro into Athens for another 3 days there. We stayed in the five star hotel in the bay as well...

Worth every euro. Magnificent views, really unique sunsets, quiet (away from all traffic), gorgeous bay, private natural sandy beach with all comfort ; really excellent food surprisingly affordable; very friendly english speaking staff; excellent rooms and facilities, private parking. Two seafood/traditional Greek food restaurants at walking distance. 10 min walk to Poseidon temple. 10 minutes driving to nice village of...

45 mins from Athens airport, this place is a real hidden gem located a stone's throw from the temple of Poseidon. Away from the hubbub of the city this really is a chance for you to switch off and luxuriate in the simple things in life - swimming, reading, hiking, eating and drinking. We had a lovely room on the...

Our summer started with a beautiful surprise as we decided to trust a friendly couple who has proposed to us to spend some days in Sounio. And we did the right choice. The hotel Aegeon, only 45 minutes away from Athens, is what we were searching for. First of all entering the hotel you are impressed by the minimal and...

The hotel is on the beach and has view also to the temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion. In addition to this major asset, the hotel's rooms are spacious (we had a standard room) and of high standard in comfort and luxury. Last but not least the hotel's restaurant is exceptional. Overall service level: very high.

I like: Hotel and the beach is tucked away in the corner away from the others. It felt like a little private place to enjoy the sea and the beach. 2 nice fish taverns close by so you can eat, drink and enjoy the view of the surrounding sea, beach and the Poseidon temple in the background. Balcony of the...

As other reviewers have already mentioned, the hotel is wonderfully located within a stone's throw of the ancient temple of Poseidon in Sounio and directly by the beach. We spent four nights there and we felt that the hotel has some strong positive elements but also many negative ones. Pros: - Located by the crystal-clear beach with free of charge...

We were in 2006 the first time in this hotel with some relatives from Greece. Since then we visited a lot of hotels and also very expensive ones. But Aegeon Beach was always in our hart!!! So coming back after 10 years was very nice...and we now know why. It has it OWN character and is simply the essence of...
