Stayed for seven nights as part of a birding group. My room was in the tower with garden views on three sides. The room was very large and very well appointed with a four piece en-suit bathroom. This has to be the most peacefull hotel that I have stayed in. The lounge area and dining area were spacious and comfortable....

What an idyllic place! Fantastic location, wonderful delicious food and lovely hosts. The vistas from our room window were superb, even during a grey and rainy late November weekend, birds a plenty within walking distance of this delightful rural hotel as well as in the lovely gardens....and even the pool looked inviting in the rain!

We were going to stay in Trujillo itself, but stumbled on the excellent reviews of this small country hotel and decided to take a chance... We are so glad we did... It is only 10km from Trujillo (we could see the town lit up at night from our room) which has excellent restaurants, a large supermarket and of course wonderful...

We stayed here for six nights in one of the junior suites. It was a magnificent room with lots of light, lovely shuttered windows, comfortable twin beds, wardrobe space galore, coffee table and settee plus two easy chairs. The bathroom was huge with twin washbasins, toilet and shower. Every day the room was cleaned and the beds made up. The...

This was our second visit to this hotel and it was as good as ever, we were part of a birding group and we were warmly welcomed by the owners Juan Pedro and Belen. We were quickly shown to our rooms, ours was a beautifully furnished large room up in the tower. There were lovely views of the gardens and...

The striking country house is in a very quiet rural setting with scenic views across to Trujillo which is only a few minutes drive away, It is secured behind steel gates and you access the house via a series of tiled patios with orange trees. A whole variety of birds are constantly fluttering around. Juan Pedro & Belen proved to...

My stay was with a birdwatching group of ten people, one Spanish, four American and the rest British. We were all of the opinion that it was one of the friendliest places we have ever stayed at. The meals were simply outstanding, and each came with an explanation of the dishes, what the ingredients were and how they were cooked....

I visited this family run hotel on a bird watching tour. It is set in beautiful scenery, and had been lovingly restored by the owners in typical comfortable Spanish fashion. We were greeted by the owners who extended great hospitality. It was so very quiet and peaceful, and an ideal base to explore Extremadura. The rooms were clean and comfortable with...

We stayed here in the middle of October when the hotel was very quiet and the weather mixed but generally pleasantly warm. Our hosts Juan Pedro and Belen were delightful and helpful, Juan Pedro giving us many details of interesting places to visit for birding and Belen providing us with good quality regional food. (Decent meals could also be obtained...

We have just returned from a week at this beautiful rural hotel. It is set right in the middle of the countryside with a large garden full of birds. We went for a birdwatching holiday and were not disappointed. Our room was at the top of the tower [54 steps up!] but the views were spectacular. I got some lovely...
