My husband and I loved our 2 nights at the Colonsay. The whole experience was wonderful. The bedroom was spacious and had a double aspect window overlooking the sea and farmland. The ensuite had a bath and a shower. The public areas were beautifully decorated. We LOVED the wood burning stove that was on all day. The food was great...

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a trip visiting 3 Scottish islands. Our room was clean and comfortable with views across fields down to the ferry pier. All staff ( and most of our fellow guests) were friendly and helpful. The bar is frequented by both guests and locals giving it a great atmosphere and during our stay...

The Colonsay Hotel is charming and comfortable, and the only place like it on the island. Our room was very nice, with a large, fully modernized bathroom, comfortable bed, and lovely sea view. Breakfast is provided and the food is excellent. The same can be said for the dinner we had. There is no Wi-Fi in the bedrooms, only in...

I am so glad you enjoyed your short stay, you must stay longer next time! We have worked hard to make Colonsay a special destination and the hotel team also try very hard to look after all our guests' needs and it is great to hear that they did that for you. Thank you for your lovely review.

Ok, so technically its the only hotel, but it would take an exceptional hotel to beat the Colonsay. The bedroom was good, the bed so comfortable i had a brilliant night sleep each night i was there. The weather was atrocious, the ferry got cancelled, but sat in the hotel lounge by the great log fire it just didn't seem...

I am delighted that your stay on Colonsay was such a treat despite the less than perfect weather! All our hotel team work really hard together to ensure as high a standard of service as possible for our guests. I am thrilled that you couldn't fault any aspect of our hotel and it is a huge credit to my team...

On a two day visit to the island. Hotel was delightful and the staff very welcoming. Gave us a secure place to keep our bikes - not that there was much chance of them disappearing here - and kept our backpacks during the day till our ferry departure. Room small but well furnished. High quality materials. Food in restaurant excellent....

The only hotel on this very nice island. The food was excellent, and the staff very efficient. The manager was particularly helpful and accommodating. The rooms, or rather our room is as advertised, a little small with a particularly small shower room, but nothing that was not made clear on the website. As you might expect it was very quiet....

We based ourselves, our family and friends here for our wedding. We got married in the gardens at Kiloran house but we ate and drank the night away at the hotel. The hotel has been decorated beautifully, reflecting the coastal venue and the rooms were very nice. However, this place is made brilliant by the manager Ivan and his staff....

Stayed at the Colonsay Hotel last week end and found the whole experience to be fantastic. We have been in the hotel trade for over twenty years and this hotel ticked all the boxes. The manager Ivan was amazing and could not do enough for us. He made our stay perfect.

Our room was "Cable Bay" lovely room with a view of the Gardens and the sea. Staff ( albeit a bit short handed) were super efficient and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Had a few drinks sitting out in the Garden, there was a lovely wee breeze that kept the midges away. Food was excellent had something...
