The duck inn is quirky in the nicest possible way. Alan and Jill are really nice and helpful with the personal message on the welcome board and Alan's smoked salmon for breakfast they really make you feel at home. Loved staying here and would like to stay longer next time...

Allen and Jill are great hosts, making you feel at home. The accommodations were cozy, inviting, and homelike. Allen's help, conversation, and attentiveness helped make our stay stress-free and and wanting to go back for another stay sometime.

We came here for a two day getaway from Seattle. We're visited the area before to see the Reifel Bird Sanctuary down the road. Duck Inn had everything we needed. A hot tub for a nice relaxing soak after after the drive up, fresh finish-baking-it-yourself baguette, Allen's own smoked salmon with onions, kippers, and cream cheese & bagels so we... More

Jill and Allen (the hosts) are great hosts and you have wonderful rooms (all two of them). They are located about 1.25km out of Ladner on the Fraser River. Your personal patio overlooks the river with a nature reserve across the way. Instead of cooking your breakfast, they stocked your frig. with smoked BC salmon, free range eggs, various juices,... This was our final destination on our holiday in Canada and NW USA and it crowned it off superbly. To call this place 'just a B&B' is doing it an injustice; from the warming welcome written on the arrivals board from Jill & Allen, meeting them in person and being shown around Willow Cottage to all the little 'extras' they... We checked in yesterday afternoon and we met Allen and Jill York, the owners. They took us to our cottage and showed us around. Inside the cabin was smoked salmon prepared by Allen (we had it for breakfast and it was the best smoked salmon ever). This place is a little different from other B&B's in that they don't fix... This place is remarkable. Willow Cottage has a wonderful view--especially for evening sunsets. If you love bird watching, this is the place..all kinds of sea birds and ducks. In fact, there are ducks inside and out. You have to see it to believe it. Three wonderful gardens and a peaceful river flowing right outside your windows. Breakfast is pretty special... More

We went for a romantic getaway. It was perfect. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We've been several times and they remember who we are. Loved the place - so comfortable and overlooking the river with passing ducks, geese and swans. The hot tub on the balcony made for a great evening. We used it both days. There was everything... I was talked into staying here with a friend who had come before. I'm very glad I was - it exceeded my expectations quite a bit. The hosts were not there (although there was a lovely substitute host)... and I am sorry I missed them as the property is both unique and meticulously cared for and set up. I've never... More
