Left after an hour. Owner rude and abusive. On arrival treated well by receptionist, booked table for evening meal and breakfast. Small room, but adequate. Quite chilly, turned on radiator and waited, nothing happened. My husband went to reception to ask about heating and was verbally attacked by the owner, ' hey english, turn the handle' 'if you didn't like...

Arriving at the hotel you can easily recognize it by the red lights. Back home red lights stand for a prostitution place but hey. The room was ok, smells a bit old and not at all architectural ;). But it appeared clean so that is a good thing. Hosting was ok, most of them friendly.

As an impromptu over-night stop-over, Hotel Uhabia provided a small, clean en-suite room with TV at a reasonable price. Simple breakfast of coffee, bread and jams. The Uhabia Hotel is located in Bidart a small and nice village in the Basque Country. The hotel is near the Ocean and not far from the city centre. Close to the beach a simply decorated restaurant, also has outside seating. Really friendly host with warm sense of humour. We felt generous portions for the very low price. We felt it merited a second visit.
