I really don't know why there are so many bad reviews - it's a ski hotel, not a beach resort! Club Med was the perfect hotel for our skiing holiday. The hotel is ski in/out we had lessons with ESF through the hotel, we came back for lunch which was great - you could choose what you wanted to eat...

Our trip with club med in Avoriaz was really awful. The rooms are too small and dirty. The management is like there is no one there. And they even insult you without hesitation. We could only eat boiled pasta as the other food is all tasteless. In the skii school that club med is offering they almost beat and swear...

The hotel is 1* at best the food was appalling and the staff in the restaurant stunk of BO.. we had to eat out every day as the food on offer was like a halls of residence not a restaurant, this incurred an additional cost of 2000 Euros on top of what we had paid for fully inclusive. We did...

The club med is one of many hotels and residences in the resort village of Avoriaz. The ski resort is wonderful. Lots of slopes for all levels, great facilities for skiers and snow-boarders. Lively village during the day and evening with many restaurants and bars, lots of ski equipment shops to buy and rent from, plus a few speciality food...

The good: 1. The staff was awesome. Lot of attention, everything with a smile. Special thanks to Jonathan who handled couple of issues we had. 2. Food is really great (desserts are not so great though:). The bad: 1. Out ski instructor (3a group) was really bad. Didn't wait for the last ones in group, and eventually it ended with...

What an amazing holiday... Don't take any notice of the moaning from others. This was a practical, fun filled holiday. Ticking all the boxes you would require. OK, so may be it's not flash but that prevents the snobbery. I hope we can afford to go again in 2017! Particular thanks should go to Holly and Sentha from Club Med...

Club med just works for us! Avoriaz was no exception, we had a feat valley facing room, although not large it was big enough, with a spectacular view. The food was good throughout the stay, but not as good as one would get at a 4 trident resort (which I guess is to be expected). We were all blown away...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set above the clouds at 1800 metres, Avoriaz seems to melt into the snowy mountainside and the steep cliffs, and wears its authentic look with pride. The white paradise reaches right into the busy little streets where horse-drawn sleighs go by. In the traditional mountain style of wooden chalets, this Club Med Village is decorated to create a warm, cosy atmosphere. The ski domain starts right in the heart of the pedestrianized resort, so sporting families can enjoy gliding over the snow. ... more   less
