I recommend visiting in May, *before* Memorial day weekend. The lodge still has "off-season" prices at this time and occasional specials (we got a free night). For the money (especially during the time mentioned), you can't beat the value. The lodges are nestled at the headwaters of the Comal river, and offer swimming in this spring-fed hideaway. Because it's private...

Love me some Heidelberg Lodges! Charming to say the least! Chillax and enjoy! I LOVED the vibe and atmosphere at the Heidelberg Lodges! We stayed the weekend with friends and I was amazed at what I had been missing all these years! Needless to say, I'll be back for a repeat performance! The pool was refreshingly amazing and the grounds...

The Heidelberg is a singular experience in the New Braunfels area. My family (with some other families) have stayed at the Heidelberg 7 times over the past decade. Each trip has been an incredible experience. The location, the kitschy accommodations, the communal 'vibe' of the pool/rec room, etc can't be missed. The place books very far out if you want...

We absolutely loved our stay here! We have an 7 and 8 year old and it was perfect for our family. While the cabin was certainly outdated, it was exceptionally clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool area was perfect for us and the access to the Comal definitely made this a come back again next summer spot....

Not the fanciest or most updated place, but it is one of my favorite places to visit. Many of the families who visit each year have been going to Heidelberg since they were kids. At Heidelberg, you can literally escape the hustle and bustle without the crowd. Only guests are allowed, and the resort offers a private pool and access...

The room was very nice with comfortable beds. Little things needed fixing like the drapes wouldn't open and close on the pull string so you had to pull them open and close yourself. The refrigerator didn't have the shelves in the door so you only had the main part of the refrigerator to use. The rooms could be as cool...

We love this place for us and our two young children (ages 6 and 3) because the lodges are CLEAN and a lot like RV camping (here's where the not quite glamping comes in) with carpet, linoleum, private bathroom, kitchen, TV, beds, and air conditioning in a great small community of other friendly families. Sure your knees touch the shower...

What a great place to stay. We had so much fun and we will definitely be going back. The kids are still talking about it. Definitely a family place. I can't believe I had never heard of this place. Can't wait for next summer. The kids always had something to do.

My family and I have visited here once every year for a decade. What once was a lovely "coming home" kind of experience has turned into another cattle drive operation just getting you in and out of their hair. The desk staff are unpleasant and appear to be just trying to get through the day. The cabins, while compact; are...

We were expecting a nice lodge and so it seemed for the pictures. However each unit is rented out as two rooms. We had the upper room with small kitchen for $189 per night. The place was like Travelodge or super8. Clean but very basic and small. The bathroom was smallest we've ever had. The cupboard doors are metal and...

Thank you for your stay with us and for providing feedback. We recently updated our room pictures on the website and do feel they are an accurate representation of the room. However, our A-frame cabins are the original cabins from when the property was developed decades ago, so some rooms are smaller. There are cabin configuration options that are more...
