We just spent two days in Ray Roberts State Park. The facility that had been Lantana Resort is now named Lone Star Lodge. You can Google it. The beautiful Lodge was wonderful. The room with two double beds was spotless. The nights were very, very quiet. We were greeted by roadrunners as we came up the access road from the...

My sister and I stayed an overnight at the Lodge. Simply beautiful. The rooms are so nice and well kept. The Lodge is beautiful. Would be a great place for a wedding! I would add a restaurant as well!

We chose to stay here rather than drive to Gainesville or some other nearby town. We hiked the Johnson Unit of Lake Ray Roberts State Park on Saturday and then the Isle du Bois unit on Sunday. The parks are beautiful and offer some great hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. The 'resort' should probably change its name to 'camp'. The...

This is a beautiful location, which makes it even more of a disappointing stay. I see this place as more of an upscale fishing lodge than a resort. Our bed was really uncomfortable, and the pillows are awful. We actually checked out a day early so we could get a good night's sleep elsewhere. The towels are scratchy and more...

Not a resort. Basic cabin feel. Quaint and minimalistic rooms work but lack a few conveniences. - No microwave - No Fridge - No tub - 24"x 24" shower (small for most folks) - Soft water (you my like this, but i hate it) - Free Wifi doesn't connect in the rooms (Have to go to lobby) - I had...

My wife and I had been wanting to stay here for years and finally had an opportunity to spend a night on our way to an Arkansas vacation. While it doesn't specifically mention food on the website, we were under the impression (from staying at dozens of places with the words "lodge" and "resort" in the name) that there would...

I just spent the weekend here with my community group... it was AWESOME! After being in Dallas all the time, I can't explain how nice it was to get away.... right on the lake, beautiful sunsets, a dock to fish off of, and a place where you can actually SEE the stars! I LOVED how quiet it was too. We...

Such a gorgeous place! Went for the weekend with my small group and we had an amazing time! Went horseback riding, fishing and enjoyed the beautiful views on the back porch! All the staff were so helpful and nice! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I took a short getaway here to Lantana Resort. This was a beautiful place, from the property to the scenery it is just beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay. It was concerning to me that some of the people that reviewed this property were so negative. This is a beautiful lodge type resort in the country next...

Spent the weekend here in late December and only a few families here. This nice little motel type place is on the grounds of the Ray Roberts State Park. The rooms are clean and recenly refurbished. The grounds are beautiful with great views of the lake. There is not an on-site restaurant but Pilot Point is only 3 miles away...
