Just what we were looking for. Large sites, close to the beach. Heard the waves the entire stay. Good electricity, water pressure. Wifi is very spotty. Dump station is conveniently located. Heard from several campers that the park will soon be expanded with full hook ups. Fishing pier close by.

We parked in the state park RV park our first night and paid $25. Not a bad price for full hookups. But, after checking things out a bit more, we decided to spend the next night boondocking along the beach. We went to City Hall-710 W. Avenue A- to purchase our beach parking permits (one for our Jeep, one for...

This is a nice park, no real amenities unless you count the Gulf of Mexico. Campground is right on the beach front, just steps from the Gulf and the sand. Close to the town of Port Aransas, so going out to dinner is easy. It's a state park, expect all (or the lack of) you get with that, but the...

I really loved my RV Camping experience at the IB Magee Beach State Park. First of all, only the dunes were between me and the beach, so the wave music was loud and clear. A nice on shore breeze blew constantly and was very pleasant. The campgrounds provide spacious sites, large enough for me to turn around with my jeep...

We chose to camp on the beach in their "Primitive" area. Typically primitive areas don't have dozens of RVs camped out with generators blaring the entire night. Unless you're the type that falls asleep to incredibly loud machinery I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for tent camping spots. This specific location doesn't seem to have a limit on how many...

We chose this campground for the location, our kids love the jetty, and the fact that we could have up to 8 campers. We have a family of 7 and most places will only allow 6 in a spot. We are about halfway through our stay and the only complaint I might have is the puddles that collect if it...

Camped with a large group of women over 4 days. Beautiful location! We had an event on the top floor of the clubhouse one evening. Amazing views! Lots of crowds on the weekend, but nearly had the beach to ourselves during the week. Could not go walking on the wooden walkways in the park as they were too overgrown. The...

Great location. Clean, safe restrooms. Good price. Plenty of power and water. If you go to the beach to be AT the beach, this is a great camping location. They take reservations but not your credit card. It was a nice, easy process.

Sites can accommodate large RV's and are flat. Power is outdated and should be raised to 50 amp however that would raise the prices significantly.Have been coming here on and off since the late 80's and Port A is still a cool place to hang out in. Beach is safe however weed can be a nuisance but they do their...
