When my parents came to stay with us during the week of 4th of July, we decided last minute that we all wanted to go to the beach. We were fortunate that the Lodge had a couple of cabins available for 2 nights, and so the 6 of us got a 2 bedroom cabin that sleeps 8. When we arrived,...

We were looking for a dog friendly hotel with a kitchenette. We only wanted to stay 2 nights and all the places in this area had 3 night minimum. After making some calls, I found that if rooms were available, they didn't hold firm to the minimum requirement. At first booking, we expected to have to change rooms. When we...

This was our second stay and loved it. The managers are friendly and there to help with anything you need. The place is super dog friendly and that was a major plus for us. As always each room is decorated cute and beachy.

I loved the pet friendliness of this place which included free treats, dog towels and food bowls plus a dog tag with location info in case they get lost and a list of dog friendly places. So its great if you are traveling with a pet. However I would not stay here if I didn't have my dog. AC was...

This is the second time we have stayed here, both times we have brought our 2 dogs. The management is very friendly and accommodates you in every way they can. They have a large (grassburr free) area for the dogs to do their business. The rooms are not huge but cozy, with everything you need in them ( microwave, fridge,...

A Laughing Horse Lodge bungalows were built in the 1940's & 50"s and have retained their charm. Not fancy at all but very, very clean! Because we travel with our dogs our hotel choice is limited in Port Aransas but ALHL allows up to three "friendly" and well-behaved dogs. The floors, walls and furniture are all painted in a bright...

"We're in Paradise!" a quote from my 6 1/2 year old granddaughter. These are little "cabins" with plenty of room and privacy. The rooms are painted with murals and colorful, plenty of nice plush towels, kitchen with all the utensils, stove & fridge. Air conditioning is great...so great that you could freeze yourself if you want to! LOL Everything was...

This was our family's third time to stay at the Laughing Horse, but the first time with our 70# dog. "Rocky" was welcomed with his very own doggie towel and special treats in the hotel provided dog dish. Our cottage was clean and comfortable with easy to clean cement floors and a stocked kitchen. Evenings were spent sipping a cool...

My wife found this place in the back of Texas Monthly, and loved how dog-friendly it claimed to be. Upon our arrival, Candy was very helpful, and explained everything we needed to know...for us and our dog. They offered dog treats, dog bowls, dog towels, poop bags, dog-washing areas....and the rooms were concrete floors, so very easy to sweep up...

Not sure what the folks that gave bad reviews were expecting. This is a small set of cottages close to the beach. It is cost effective, clean, and just what we were looking for to spend time with our family as well as the cousins staying in another unit. They obviously cater to dog owners. We may have been one...
